I am an 8.5 on the Brannock and my width is 3E - 4E. I have trouble finding sufficiently wide shoes. I buy 9 - 10 for the extra width. Here I ended up with the 8.5 extra wide and the width is plenty. Enough even to wear a moderately thick gym sock. The shoe wears like a lace up slipper with a cushion like sole. Like a mocasin with a thick spongy sole. Very light. Very comfortable. ... show more

Never bought them in black. DID BUY them in the tan, navy blue suede, and gray canvas... not sure where...amazon, kohls, or propet online store...but the suedes are the very best...excellent shoes. Propet doesn't seem to have this 'Pomeroy' available in Black leather EW anymore, but have continued the suede colors. I sure wish they did as I need some new ones as I wear them all day everyday year round. Only shoes I'll wear without socks too as there's no bare seams on the inside to irritate bare skin. Propet HAD an excellent product in these shoes. Best product they ever had for EW feet too. ... show more
