My guy tends to get gall marks at a thought. I stretch his legs befor a ride and make sure his girth is secure, not too loose or tight. I bought this to replace an older one, mohair at the skin, it seemed his own hair would ball up and then weee a few weeks off to heal. I love this girth. I have no issues with the cinch itself. It seems well made; good materials, nice hardware, and good stitching. The issue I have is the way they state the size. My old chinch mearsured 26 3/8" from inside the ring, across the chinch to inside ot the opposit ring and 27" outsise to outside, so I ordered a 26" chinch. The pro choice chinch mearsures 26" outside of the ring to outside, but with the extra room the roller mehcanisum takes up, the inside to inside measures only 24 3/8". If I had know this I would have ordered a 28" instead of a 26". So a little better discription about sizeing might be in order. ... show more

Our horse had big problems with girth gall due to her very thin and white hair and sensitive skin. We tried a lot of other girths but this one did the trick no more girth gall and more riding for us. Its very soft and easy to clean. Its a little wider then other girths but this was no problem for us bc its very flexible.
