Description

The carriage bolts and nuts in this set are constructed of steel, and each come in a zinc-plated finish. The threading on these fasteners is 1/4 inch-20 teeth per inch (TPI), and they measure 1/4 inch diameter x 1-7/8 inch length. The carriage bolts feature a square section beneath their smooth, domed heads to help prevent spinning during tightening of bolts. These nuts and bolts are packaged for use with garage door hardware, but are useful with many other applications. From the Manufacturer These carriage bolts come plated in zinc. Worked great! Bamboo pergola is basically finished. Needed to stick the bamboo in flower pots for extra support because the poles are thin. These nuts and bolts 🔩 held everything together snuggly but that’s what nuts and bolts do. Just drilled a 1/4” hole with an electric drill, helped to drill a small hole first with a smaller bit then used a 1/4” bit. I needed 3 boxes of these nuts and bolts to do the job. I think I got the bamboo on Amazon too 🤔. Now all I need is my blow up pool (probably from Amazon as well) for a private, roofless tanning spot. Oh I got the curtains from Amazon too lol…jeez - hey - I’m happy! ... show more

Using these when securing hasp less security hardware. Can't be removed from the outside as long as you use lock hardware that has square holes for installation. I used stop nuts and flat and split washers on the inside of my shed door.

These do not have smooth domed heads as indicated in the description. Also, the heads are smaller than those that I am replacing. Refer to photos. I sheared one of the bolts by over-tightening it. However, I think that they are adequate for my garage door.

Suggested as a purchase for wheel barrel repair, not the correct ones for the hardware. 3 different lengths are needed and these need to be 3/8" not 1/4"
