They are gorgeous! Yes, on the bottom you can see that they are a gold shoe with rainbow glitter applied on top, but personally I like that the glitter doesn't go right to the sole - I'm hoping that means it will take a long time before it cracks or flakes off. I ordered the 11.5 for my almost 5 year old. They are a tad too small, but she won't let me return them so I just ordered a second pair. They were only $16 so I won't be heartbroken if they don't last forever, but so far they seem better quality than expected. I also love that the strap is Velcro. The elastic straps tend to be a little tight for my daughter or frustrating for her to get on her foot. Fit well, do not seem to have irritating spots in the heel, but maybe a bit hard to put on for little ones as the elastic is tight, my daughter loves them because they are ultra sparkly and the pink is very pink, one complaint is the glitter is very scratchy and will probably wear off but we have only had for a couple weeks so I cannot comment on durability. ... show more

Bough these for my three year old who requested ballet shoes. Ballet shoes won’t work for everyday shoes as they are designed specifically for dancing and don’t have the required soles a toddler needs for walks, park, etc. these were beyond perfect for her. She thinks she’s a real ballerina and as a bonus they are covered in sparkles. We have had them for several months and I have not noticed any glitter falling off. They still look practically new. They are not different to put on although they do require more effort than a pair of normal slip ons. She loves them and had to show them off to all her family as soon as we opened the box. I bought these for my daughter after she got upset that the cheap plastic ones from the store didn’t fit her feet. She was so happy when I showed her these, she wanted to put them on immediately. So far, she’s worn them with her mermaid costume every day since they arrived. They’re not the easiest to get on and they feel a bit stiff, but she seems to be ok with that. I like that they can’t slip off her feet as she runs around playing dress up. A little glitter has flaked off, but that’s to be expected.
