The PRETTYGARDEN Womens Summer Boat Neck Ribbed Knit Slim Fit Tee is a pretty top that is very flattering to the figure without being unnecessarily revealing or too clingy. The balck is just as described. It is a highly wearable staple that works well on its own or under a sweater or jacket, with a skirt, trousers, or jeans. Very versatile. The fit is true to size, the fabric is soft, and I appreciate that there is enough length and scooch to tailor it to purpose without the ever present cropping these days. I will update this review upon further testing, but I recommend this is you are looking for a flattering wardrobe staple.

This top is made from a nice-quality ribbed fabric that is soft, stretchy, and comfortable. The material feels good against the skin and fits well, and overall it’s a flattering short-sleeve shirt. However, the product listing describes/shows this top as having a boat neck and three-quarter length sleeves, which is not accurate. In person, the neckline is much closer to a scoop neck (somewhere between a scoop and a crew), and the sleeves are clearly short sleeves—not three-quarter length as shown in the stock image. If you are purchasing this expecting a true boat neckline and longer sleeves like shown in the stock photos, this may be disappointing. While the shirt itself is still nice and wearable, the listing photos and description do not match the actual product received. Because of the mismatch between the listing description and the real fit, I’m rating this three stars. The fabric and comfort are good, but accuracy matters when shopping for clothing.

My favorite way to wear this shirt is under a bright, colorful jumper. The white color helps other colors pop. The way it is designed, it hugs my body a bit, and the shirring at the waist keeps the fabric from balling up or being too heavy—big plusses for layers. I wouldn’t be averse to wearing this without a cover layer, as well. It offers a flattering fit, is and it isn’t so sheer as to be immodest. The material appears to be good quality, and it has held up well to washing. The viscose used to make the fabric is only semi-natural, but it breathes well and feels good against my skin. Between the ribbing, shirring, and elastane, the fabric has a yummy stretch that is very comfortable. I'm very happy with this shirt and would order it again.
