To start, I'm 5'6 about 180lbs and I got a large. I normally wear a 10-12 in pants. I honestly got this because when I saw this... It just looked so freaking comfortable!!! I didn't know how it would look on a person with a little extra weight as the models in pictures that were on Amazon looked great it in. I can tell you that the top part is very soft and comfy. The bottom skirt part is not as soft but it does have structure. AND the best part is that it doesn't require any special cleaning. Lol The sleeves are a little long but I actually like them like that. I can tell that on a windy day that you will definitely need shorts underneath as it is very flowy and airy.
