The textured fabric upgrades this top from a “tee” to a more elegant knit top. I really loved the fabric, both for its softness and the interesting texture. Unfortunately, the fit wasn’t great. I found the shoulders very wide and the armholes quite low. In addition, I’d expect the sleeves to be slimmer given the stretchy nature of the knit fabric (the fabric has more than enough “give” to allow the sleeves to fit nicely without being so wide). The sleeves were too wide from bicep to cuff opening. (They were also quite long for me, but that’s normal since I’m only 5’2”.) I ordered a size Large based on the size chart. The bust and sweep fit okay, although they were looser than I’d expect from a knit garment. I have the advantage of being a dressmaker and a tailor, so I’ll be taking this knit top apart at the sleeves and shoulders so that I can take in the shoulders and slim down the sleeves. But most people aren’t going to go to that effort for an inexpensive top. For a smaller woman, I can’t recommend this top because of the fit. However, for a taller and/or larger woman this would probably fit much better and would be a nice addition to her wardrobe.
