The only reason why I returned this dress was because the neckline was more round than square on me. It is my own personal opinion that I don't look very good in a rounded neckline. And since I would be the one wearing it I has to say, no. It's a great dress and just because it doesn't work for me doesn't mean that I wouldn't recommend it for someone else. This is a beautiful dress! It has a slit in the back. It offers some stretch so definitely get your size. Don’t size up or down. I’m got a large. And the large fit too well. There’s extra fabric around the waist and hip areas. Also I’m 5’4 and it makes it looks like my hips are at my knees because of the cut. I’m summary… runs super large.

This was ordered (L) in the blue green color for a size 10 jeans pear shaped (5 ft 5 inches) body with an inward waist. A medium would have worked better for this size in a body con dress. It seems like it is a fit ideal for someone with more chest than hips vs more hips than chest but does have some give, due to its style and fabric. If you want a sexy fit just make sure it will fit snuggly, you probably don't want to upsize if you are on the fence between sizes on this body con dress. If you just want a one-piece quick outfit for ease of casual wearing, then you could size up one as long as you have the "upper body" to fill that size out. Just to be really clear it IS a normal dress. First time ordering a body con dress online so there was a lot more to guess at compared to going to a store where you can try something on. Totally different experience since we all have different shaped bodies. This pear WILL be wearing this dress (size). It just won't be the one I go out on the town in because of the size I ordered.
