The fairy houses are beautiful but the delivery was unpleasant. At first I received some random things that I did not order. I tried to contact the seller and Amazon to no avail. I was finally able to reach Amazon by phone and my order was delivered 6 days after it was supposed to arrive. When it finally arrived one of the houses has a broken window.     • Adorable fairy house
I was impressed with the secure packaging upon opening the Amazon box. It comes very well protected and was completely intact. The painting and detailing on this little fairy house is pretty amazing. Rustic colors (cranberry color roof, brown "wooden" colored house with woodgrain that actually looks like wood, green door jamb, and green foliage on the room) all lend themselves to a very realistic appearance. The door is on a tiny hinge, so you can position it either opened or closed. The flowers in the pot below the windowsill are sweet and colorful. These are the colors you might find on an actual cottage in the woods. No primary colors here. It stands on its own on a secure base and is hollowed out in the interior of the house, so if you could manage to put a tiny votive candle through that front door, you probably would be able to, to lend a realistic light coming through the window. This is a sweet little house and I can recommend it. I put it on my kitchen counter, surrounded by faux evergreen trees . I put a little dwarf on the top step.
