The water proof side is definitely water proof cause I've had no leaking or puddles on my table after. As a nail tech these are very nice to protect my table from dust and they seem to be acetone resistant. They can be hard to get out of the package at first but thats only because they are packed so tight in there. Solution is to put them in a different container.
