    • YOU GOTTA HAVE HIM! RAREST OF THIS WAVE
Awesome figure by Hasbro. The accessories are nicely detailed. The Civilian Head scan of Lord Drakkon is truly authentic and lifelike to Jason David Frank. Proportions are great. Articulation for dynamic poses and play over 20+ points. Definitely recommend him to the collection!

    • Good Addition to the Lightning Collection
Review Image by RDD
Hasbro’s Lightning Collection adds Lord Drakkon from Boom! Studios’ “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” comics to its line. In the comics, Lord Drakkon comes from an alternate Earth where he remained in service to Rita Repulsa, eventually taking her place as the ultimate evil. Having defeated the Rangers of his universe, he begins working to conquer the multiverse, leading to the “Shattered Grid” storyline. Jason David Frank even appeared as Drakkon for a trailer promoting “Shattered Grid,” a promotional image of which was used as a variant cover for issue 25. The Lord Drakkon costume blends elements of both the Green and White Mighty Morphin Rangers costumes, with some touches of the Black Dino Ranger. Bandai previously released a figure of Lord Drakkon as part of their Legacy Collection, but this version is slightly more realistic like the rest of the Lightning Collection, with sculpted features to make it appear more like a person in a costume while the Legacy figures opted for a more comicbook approach. It also stands slightly shorter than the Legacy figures. The belt, chest shield, and details on the boots and gloves are all slightly smaller on the Lightning Collection Drakkon, further in keeping with its photorealistic approach. The belt details also disappear a little due to the smaller size. Further, while the Legacy Drakkon included both the Dragon Dagger and Saba, the Lightning Drakkon only includes the Green Ranger’s dagger, though it does add two alternative hands, an unhelmeted head showing the older Tommy Oliver face based on Jason David Frank’s appearance in Boom! Studious’ promotional materials as well as an energy bolt that attaches to the end of the dagger. The energy bolt is an interesting feature, but looks strange on the end of a dagger. It’s a good addition to the Lightning Collection and sure to delight fans of “Shattered Grid” who couldn’t get the Legacy figure. ... show more
