These are smaller than I imagined (that's on me for not measuring them out), but while they do a good job insulating our table from heat, they have looked terrible since day two, acquiring weird white spots when we wash and rinse them. The texture makes them unwipeable at the table, so we have to carry them to the sink to rinse off. They are hard to dry (though I think that could/should have been expected, though I didn't think the texture would interfere with that so much). And don't think that you can use them for crafts or play, because my toddler put kinetic sand on hers, and though I've cleaned it tens of times, now there's a constant feeling of invisible sand grains on it. ... show more

I usually don’t like to reviews because I feel like it gets buried in thousands of fake reviews, but this seemed like a good product to make an exception. The placemats are great! We’ve been searching for placemats that feel stylish yet functional. I’ve been on Amazon, West Elm and Etsy and decided on these because of the silicone material- we wanted something we could wipe off. We like these so much that we will probably order another set when more colors become available. The color is a muted purplish pink so it doesn’t look cheap, which was my concern with ordering a silicone placemat- something that might feel too thick and platic-like. They take up no “visual space” if you choose colors close to the surface you’ll put them on, so I just wipe them off with a sponge and leave them there. Great for our small apartment and minimalist preferences for functional items. Chose our dark neutral blue color for the wooden dining table and a light one to blend in with the countertop for the breakfast bar. They stay put nicely. Terrific quality. Thin but not flimsy. They stay in place well. Easy to clean. We have four on a 36" round table & the fit is perfect. I ordered Misty Forest; the color is a subtle blue/green. Don't worry about the logo/branding; you'll have a hard time finding it! Definitely a great purchase.

These placemats are great. I have a baby who is learning to feed herself, so our dining table gets really messy. These placemats protect our table from baby food and all kinds of messes. I am also excited that I can put hot dishes directly on them, that was what made me choose these over other brands. The warm gray is like a mix of gray and tan. Seems like a fine place mat, wipes clean or toss in the dish washer. Lays flat, doesn't have any odor. Keep in mind it is not a trivet or oven mitt, the silicone will give your table some protection from hot food on a dinner plate, but do not expect it to survive a hot pan out of the oven or skillet off of the stove. I was looking for a dark brown color, but this is very neutral and it's growing on me; depending on the light sometimes it looks grayish and other times it looks sort of beige. They seem to have added more colors since I ordered these so there should be a color for almost everyone. Highly recommended. ... show more

Was looking for oval placemats for my oval plates. Also liked the idea of these being so washable since I planned on using them for our outdoor dining. What I didn't expect is that they are so classy I will also use them for inside dining. I purchased both the Warm Grey - which is best described as Greige (very light taupe).
