  • First time use of PETG and it was perfect
Color: 1kg Petg Translucent Red (Hex Code: #Cb3...
I bought this to try after 2 years of only using PLA and finally got tired of my projects being fragile. I found that it is way easier to use PETG than I have read. I had NO adhension issues or essevive stringing as some describe with this type filament. The Translucent Red color is very cool. I am surprised at the strength of PETG and it will now be my "go to" for my printing. I find this filament worked best for me at 240C with a bed temp of 80C. The diameter is consistent and I had zero feed issues on the whole roll. I did have to change the nozzle tip (.4)in the beginning as the one I was using for PLA didn't seem to agree with continuing to use the old PLA used nozzle. I was probably due for a nozzle change anyway. Bottom line: Great price, strong prints, sticks to the bed and releases with ease after the bed cools. My unit is a Creality CR 6SE ... show more

  • Strength
Color: 0.75kg Pla Teal
The media could not be loaded. Super strong, easy printing, great product. #PolymakerShill For a more detailed understanding of PolyMax PLA, you need to understand Polylite PLA and PLA Pro. Polylite PLA will snap if you bend it. PolyMax PLA will bend and show white stress marks but won't snap. PLA Pro is in the middle of the two. It will bend half way, show stress marks, and then snap. PolyLite is already stronger then the average PLA I've purchased or have seen, but PolyMax is crazy. I made a hammer, nail, and picture bracket and was able to punch straight through my wall. That picture has been hanging for the past few months. ... show more

  • Really nice color and printability for PETG
Color: 1kg Petg Dark Green (Hex Code: #3d441e)
I would say that this filament is slightly easier than most PETG to print, and I print a lot of PETG. The color is really good And has a very slight satin or semi gloss sheen.

  • Prints fine, but avoid going above 240 if you dont have an all-metal hot end.
Color: 5kg, Petg Black (Hex Code: #000000)
First off, the filament worked perfectly fine. I could actually print my roll of PETG at 215, but I found 230 to be perfect for me. The only issues that came up were a result of my bowden tube being melted from trying to dial everything in (i had read you needed 250 or so, and PTFE tubes dont like that). Printed just fine, albeit a little stringy and blobby, but I got stringing to disappear with a 6mm retraction at 230, and blobs were cause by power recovery features, and were further reduced by enabling coasting. If you are experiencing a good deal of issue with the filament, do yourself a favor and check your PTFE tube. The only reason why stringing and blobs reappeared on my prints (after dialing in) was because the tube had been damaged, and I hadn't caught it. Replaced the bowden with capricorn XS, and havent had a problem yet. Also, keep in mind that clear filament doesnt equate to a clear print. You are trapping air between layers, and light is being diffracted along the lines you laid down. Unless you smooth the print afterward or print single line walls, you aren't likely to see through the part, and it isn't likely to be clear like glass unless you can smooth the layer lines or somehow make the wall one contiguous piece. You CAN, however, achieve clearer parts when viewed from above, but you may need to set monotonic infill to do it (keep all of the lines in the same orientation). This isnt really something that is the fault of the filament itself, but is the fault of the process your are using. For truly clear parts, try a resin printer instead of FDM. ... show more

  • Prints great, awesome color, good quality
Color: 1kg Petg Translucent Green (Hex Code: #0...
Printed really good, I used it without drying out of the box and no drying was needed. After I left it in my dry box for a few weeks the quality was still good but I could see the signs of some moisture.

  • Very pleased ! Love this petg filament
Color: 1kg Petg Translucent Red (Hex Code: #Cb3...
I have been using cr-series petg filaments and couldn't find transparent red for a project i was working on . This hit the mark . It is my experience that my printer prints transparent petg best at lower listed temps …bed 70°c and extruder 235°c . Opaque colors seem to like a bit more heat! But every setups different . P.S. the less infill the more transparent the color . Also if you use to much cooling or cooling fans at all you will distort the color and make it milky … so best used with no cooling or very little . Retraction needs turned up to a bit to keep the stringing down . ... show more

  • 2 Rolls Good, 2 Rolls Bad
**Update September 2021** Awful and unreliable. The two replacement reels were as bad as the two I returned. One managed to jam my printer so badly it is now out of alignment (I got stuck on a call during a print and 10 mins was all it took to damage my printer). I have no idea what is going on at Polymaker, but buyer beware. This filament is substandard and may cause damage to your printer. **Previous Review** The first two rolls of black PLA were fantastic. Good adhesion, no real warping, clean prints. The finish is less glossy than other PLA I've used, which I liked. I was able to print 28 pieces of my project in a row without any issues whatsoever. The pieces take about 3 hours each, so the printer was running non-stop for several days. I ordered two more rolls. Unfortunately, these have been awful. Both rolls are poorly wound. The filament snags on itself as it tries to print. The best case has been that I got half a print and a ball of extruded fuzz. I've also had the filament reel jam hard enough that the filament snapped. The worst case threw the entire printer out of alignment, which was a pain to resolve. So far, out of two reels I've managed one single successful print. Every few minutes, I have to go and unspool the reel for a few feet and gently wind the filament back on to the reel. Very disappointing. I switched to Polymaker after bad experiences with another cheaper brand. I was hoping for better. However, my initial results were good enough that I will try returning/exchanging the bad reels. We'll see if this was a rare occurrence or a regular problem. ... show more
