Fun for all ages! You can't go wrong with this brand. High quality, super cute & easy to assemble. An incredible value for the price. Each door reveals another part of the workshop scene. The kids are having the best time quessing what's behind the door, revealing each days addition & deciding where it should go. They are even learning to take turns (the mom says chuckling). Very cute advent calendar. This is my first experience with Playmobil and so far it's pretty impressive. All 4 of my kiddos got advent calendars this year and this is a great fit for my almost 4 year old. The toys are very cute and extremely well made. On day one he received an elf. He is totally movable. His head moves, arms, bends at the waist, etc. He came with a hat that you can put on and take off. Day 2 was a packet of tools......those are essential for a busy elf building toys. There was a saw, hammer, screwdriver, some wrenches, a drill....... They easily snap right into his hands. Today is only day 3 and he hasn't had the chance yet to open that third door, but I wanted to review so someone else could snatch one up. You can open a few days at once to catch up. If your little one likes pretend play, this is a great set for you and of course there's the thrill of having a new surprise every day.

I purchased this item for my 4-year-old grandson. He loves the anticipation and excitement of opening a new door every morning and finding a small toy to add to the Santa's workshop tableau. Although many pieces are VERY small, his little fingers seem to be able to manage them with no problem. The detail of the pieces is exquisite -- he especially loves the many tiny tools that fit in the elves' tool box, and the fact that the characters' hands can "hold" these items. Wonderful toy that encourages creative play. I think this will become an annual Advent tradition in our family.

I bought this for my seven year old and three year old sons. My seven year old thinks it's pretty fun, but it's a huge hit with my three year old. I would say it's geared for the younger ones. This advent calendar is a lot more fun for my boys than the Lego Star Wars calendars that I usually buy. The kids love Legos, but the ones that come in the Star Wars advent calendar often make little machines / ships that aren't easily recognizable for the boys, so they're less excited. Every item in the Playmobil calendar is easy to recognize, colorful and made for lots of play! I will continue buying this one for my little guy until he outgrows it.

My daughter and I really enjoyed opening the doors and discovering an adorable surprise each day. It definitely makes it easier to wait for Christmas morning to arrive. All the surprises were cute and fun. My daughter expressed delight in each one. The only thing I wish Playmobil would do differently is to better secure the cardboard with the doors in it to the plastic molded backing which holds all the pieces. When we put the toys back into the box, little pieces tend to fall from their box into other boxes as the whole thing is moved around.

an exciting way to count down to Christmas day! All of the pieces are made well and my son really enjoys opening each morning. I purchased for my 5 year old... by 11 year old daughter also enjoys playing with it and watching him open it so if you have older kids and they like Playmobil they will like this gift. Great price too - shipped fast. all of the pieces will also mesh well if they have other playmobil sets.

There are two things that make the Santa’s Workshop advent calendar less than it could be: 1) the stickers on the side of the sleigh are very tough to get on right as they are unusual shapes; 2) Santa cannot sit in his sleigh as he is too big or the sleigh is too small. If I had read reviews and seen that he cannot be in a seated position I might have passed on this one depending on the price. Otherwise it is really cute. There are some small parts. Some parts that are just going to get lost real quick. The figures are very cute and made well. All together is will make for a nice display that kids (and adults) can play with. I do think Playmobil is a great toy for 4+ kids and older. Some building is required so the younger ones will need assistance.

So my son loved opening the doors each day and I personally loved it, too. The traditional great PLAYMOBIL quality along with very cute and creative design. That having been said, there are a ton of very very small pieces, so be careful if you have anyone under the age of three in the house. I have to admit I really with Duplo made advent calendars... but in the mean time PLAYMOBIL has quite the variety to choose from. This on is a winner (and I've even repacked it all up for him to use again next year!)
