Got this as a daily deal for less than $6. I had planned to save it for my 2 year old for next Christmas, but we are in transitional living between places so I just let him open it this year even though some of the pieces were smaller. He loved opening it every day, even if some of the pieces might not be viewed by an adult as "exciting" he was thrilled with it anyways. Even on day 24 he was excited when we mentioned doing his advent calendar!     • Good quality but overpriced
We bought this when it was about half price and I definitely wouldn't pay more. I think the set will be fun for my 3 year old when finished but opening it is rather unexciting so far. Six days in, he has one fire fighter and a little sign. Several days are stuff like gloves, helmet, hose, etc. So after six days he doesn't really have much to play with. Quality is good but I wish there were more pieces for actually playing with rather than tiny accessories and would be extremely disappointed if I had paid full price. ... show more

76 pieces! Lots of tiny, tiny pieces. Be prepared to loose pieces and have an upset kiddo! If you have a younger baby at home, DO NOT a get this. Soo many tiny pieces, so hard to keep track of. One will be swallowed, or out in a nose or ear! Guaranteed!

Both grandsons loved the excitement & lead up to Christmas Day. I loved it wasn’t another fight game, guns, wrestling, light saber wars that 6 yr olds seem to gravitate to. The extinguishers shooting water must of helped with that aspect. Love listening to them give narrative as they play with these. Imaginations at work! This calendar was fun to open for advent. Some days were less interesting than others, like mud stains or a single piece, but over all my son loved it and the box is very sturdy as you pop each days cut out.

    • Wish the order of the gifts were different.
Of the three Playmobil Advent calendars we have purchased this year, this one is by far my least favorite. Today the window was opened to revel the yellow buttons that go on top of the barrier sign. The problem? My child hasn't received the barrier sign yet. So we have 4 little buttons that may get lost before we have the sign they are for and it was a very unexciting open for the day. The issue isn't the gifts, it's the order they come in. On the 2nd day my child got a bucket. That would be much more exciting after you had a few more of the exciting pieces first to add to the scene. ... show more

    • Don’t lose the pieces!
I bought this for my son and he wasn’t super thrilled at first. He would open a cardboard door and it would be a part of the play set that wasn’t really fun to play with by itself but as the day went by and the play set built up he started getting exited to open a new door everyday!
