I'm a magician and always like finding cards with interesting back designs. I like the look of these cards. As for the quality, they are okay, not the best. The card stock is decent. The box is oaky but a little tight so some cards get stuck and don't want to come out. Maybe I'll work this feature into a magic trick. The faces look very standard. The colors on the face cards seem a little faded. They are an okay value if you want something a little different from say, standard Bicycle decks but the quality is just not quite as good. ... show more

    • Very Good Value for High Quality Playing Cards!

I'm somewhat of a playing card snob. I would say these cards "stack" up to many of the "premium" playing cards out there but for a substantially lower price. For regular playing, I consider the quality of these cards as good as you would want. They spread evenly. They do not stick, but they're not slippery. Their edges do not fray easily under normal use. I would compare the general feel to the more expensive "Tally-Ho". Their design is distinctive and the Jokers have personality. They are slightly more expensive than common "Bicycle" cards, but much nicer in feel and appearance. Once you compare, you'll see the difference. Under normal, adult use, a deck of cards like this should last for years. I would even suggest these to those people "working" with cards (dealers, magicians) to practice with, because they have 95% of the feel and quality of "performance" cards at a much lower price. ONE SLIGHT CAVEAT: "Traditional" playing cards come stacked, from the face, A-K, A-K, K-A, K-A. These, on the other hand are packed with all the suits in A-K order... What this means is that, for these cards, out of the box, if you do 2 perfect riffle shuffles (or "faro" shuffles) all the ranks will be stacked alongside of each other! (4 aces, 4 kings, etc). Serious card players will be cautioned to do a "slop" shuffle with a new deck! ... show more

The cards feel nice, but looks wise, there was some printing issues. I noticed on a couple cards, like the Ace of Spades, there was some ink errors/running/smudging. 8 of us used a deck of these to play poker, with each person dealing. After a while, the cards did get sticky. They also were susceptible to bending from shuffling, and had to be re-bent to flatten them out. A certain other name brand has similar issues. As far as value, they are at a slightly higher price point than the name brand I compared them to. ... show more

These cards are very similar to Bicycle playing cards. The card stock feels the same and it has a very light coating. Plays well right away. They come very well packaged - it took some time to get them out of the shrink wrap. My main gripe is how tight they fit in the box. It's a bit of a struggle to get them in and out. Nothing special but also nothing feels cheap. Honestly these are exactly what you'd expect to be getting if purchasing playing cards. Should hold up awhile for being the material they are. Usually I purchase plastic playing cards for the kids anymore, but it's nice to have our standard paper decks as well. Pricewise, also seems to be similar to what I'd pay locally so really in all areas you're getting what you'd expect without a drive to the store. ... show more

I got these for our card playing family. We love cribbage, crazy eights, rummy, etc and go through cards like crazy. I gave these 4 stars because they are a wee bit thinner than some of our decks and may not last as long, but that is ok too because cards get tired and dirty from using, so tossing them after a while is fine. This is exactly the size of bicycle cards but with a thinner box and maybe a slightly bit thinner in the card stock. Appears to be two cards glued together so the longevity might not be as long as a bicycle deck. They appear to crimp easier and hold a crimp better than bicycle cards for those of you who know what a crimp is or use a crimp. They shuffle well and play well. Good price for two decks. They come with two Joker cards but no other card inserts with the decks. China made cards so quality is less than the USA made bicycle cards.
