This tie was a pleasant surprise. The fabric has a nice sheen without looking overly shiny or cheap, and the weave is tighter and cleaner than I expected at this price point. The geometric plaid pattern is sharp, with colors that match the listing photos closely and give it a modern look that works well for business-casual events, weddings, or occasions where a solid tie would feel a bit boring. Construction is also respectable. The stitching is clean, the tie holds its shape well, and the back keeper loop and tipping are neatly finished. It doesn’t feel like a premium silk tie, but it also doesn’t have the paper-thin feel that many inexpensive polyester ties suffer from. After handling it, it looks durable enough to hold up to regular wear. I love the colors of this tie. It matches my taste perfectly. I was a little skeptical about the colors in the photo but the tie is even more bright and vibrant than i hoped. The value for money is decent although i have found better deals for name brands. It fits as a tie should, and the length is as it should be. I only took a star because of the quality. It doesnt quite feel like a tie should. It almost feels like it's thin. Like there is an inside missing. I am not upset with the purchase at all. I really wanted to like this tie. The pattern and colors are genuinely sharp, and visually it checks a lot of boxes. Unfortunately, length and stiffness are the problems. This tie is clearly designed for a half knot, which may work for some, but for me half knots look lopsided and unfinished. A full Windsor isn’t realistic, and at 5'8" the tie still felt too short to hang properly. On top of that, the fabric is too stiff to form a clean dimple or divot (see photo). Even with effort, the knot stays flat and rigid, which takes away from that polished, intentional look a tie should have. Because of the proportions and stiffness, this feels better suited to a teenager or someone with a smaller frame who prefers simpler knots. Nice design and fair price, but limited by construction.
