Have used mine many times now since purchased. Can’t say enough good things about it. Doesn’t eat up Pellets but still provides great smoke for your favorite meats. I previously had a Traeger which I really liked. This Pit Boss is every bit as good a product at a great cost saving. Highly recommend.

    • There's only one boss when it comes to pellet grills PIT BOSS BABY!
My first pellet grill was the classic 700. I've had it 6 years and still runs. Replaced ignitor twice which isn't bad. Easy how to videos on youtube. I recently bought another PIT Boss. Upgraded to the 800 pro series. Why buy a different brand when im happy with the brand i bought. The pro series has more shelves, slide handle for open flame, added knobs for grill tubes is nice. Easier to assemble them my first grill. Only thing I'd like to c is a way to install a rotisserie. ... show more

    • Not as good as older models
This is my second Pit Boss. Unfortunately, it isn't as good as my first Pit Boss. The new design of the movable slide-plate flame broiler lets heat past the louvers and there is a hot spot in the middle of the grill that burns meat before cooking the remaining meat.

This is our third pellet smoker but first pit boss. Easy assembly, nice looking grill. First impression was looks great but this grill has several hot zones that can not be adjusted out with the sliding grate. The temperature gauge on the lid reads 75 degrees hotter than the digital dial. The heating element went out within three months of use. Trying to get ahold of support through pit boss for a replacement heating element is horrible. ... show more

The unit cuts off by itself. No way to leave it unattended. Called for support and have never been able to rectify the situation. Would not purchase this unit again. Update. I have been able to rectify the situation by myself. But again. Customer service hadn’t a clue as to how to resolve the issue.     • Customer Services Sucks
If the grill would stay working then I would have rated it much higher, but after having my grill less than a year it stopped working. I worked with their warranty team and replaced the auger, auger bolt, control panel, auger motor, and installed a motor bracket that was an after market part and my grill continues to seize up and stop working. I have called 5 times in the last 6 months to try to get help and have willingly done all that was asked to try to clear things out and I called back today and they tell me it's a user error. My grill stays in a covered garage and is brought out to grill only and I live in a non humid climate and only use Pit Boss Grill pellets and somehow it's still my problem. Sad thing was it was a supervisor that was so rude and non helpful. At some point their warranty has to stand for something and they should replace my unit, but I can tell that is not going to happen and they will continue to just throw parts at it until the 5 year warranty expires. It's incredibly disappointing so buy at your own risk. When it works it's good but if there are issues I don't think they stand by their word to truly replace it like they should. ... show more
