I've bought a few furniture items in this industrial style recently and this shelf was probably the second easiest to actually put together. I like it - it holds a lot of items, and once you get a bit of weight on the bottom, it seems decently sturdy (it did wobble a bit more than I'd like, before, but nothing too terrible). My only real complaint is how it goes together - the two big sections are fastened together with nuts and bolts and getting them tight enough was a chore. My hands didn't appreciate it. We used these to organize our storage room and they worked perfectly. The wood finish looks nice and the metal isn’t too shiny but feels sturdy and scratch proof. For us the 4-tier was the perfect size, about 41 1/2” to the top shelf so we could put stuff on top that was below chest height and easy to move. One shelf was enough to store 40+ bottles of craft paint, so that was impressive. To assemble, I found it easiest to set the shelf on its back and loosely thread in all bolts on one side, then the other. Then I went around and tightened them more, stood it upright on level flooring and then fully tightening everything snugly. ... show more

I loved the bookshelf. Looks nice, its sturdy, love the style. I only took 1 star off bc building it was a bit of a pain. Just advice, make sure you pay 100% attention to which direction every piece is supposed to face, or you'll spend way more time on this like i did than necessary.

I don’t like the rope anchors for the wall because I feel they are tacky. I like the product. No complaints. Carpet makes it less stable, so may need wall anchors if not on a hard flooring surface.
