I wasn’t sure about the dimensions when reading the item description, but I am more than happy seeing it in person. The finish is flawless and consistent, it’s hard to explain exactly what I mean here I mean it’s a watch buckle so there’s not much weight to them no matter the quality but you know how sometimes when you first feel an item claiming to be some form of 100% metal by then as you install it you kind of notice it feels lighter than expected and you wonder to yourself, is this just plastic coated with some kind of finish you expect to wear off soon, well at least I know that feeling. This is the opposite of that it has that dense cold metal feel and look at the prong, it’s not just some cheap open loop, it’s 1 solid piece, the engraving on the bottom buckle bracket. This is a beautiful pin buckle in the Cartier style. I ordered this for a vintage Wittnauer tank style watch that no longer has an original buckle and a Cartier style seemed appropriate. The buckle is the 18mm I ordered. Just like all buckles of this style, there isn't a lot of room between the spring bar and end of the buckle which requires an elegant, thin and flexible strap to work well. I was surprised when I flipped the buckle over for the first time. This buckle is clearly not advertised to be a Cartier manufactured product, offered on Amazon at an affordable price and made from plated stainless steel. The bottom of my buckle is signed Cartier, Swiss made and AU 750. There are two other marks that I do not recognize as well. Not sure if these markings are all part of replicating an original buckle. The buckle sticks to a magnet, so it is certainly not solid Au 750 (18K gold). Strange underside markings aside, this is an affordable and serviceable Cartier style buckle which I will enjoy pairing with a tank style vintage watch. ... show more
