    • Works very well for piercings and small objects
As someone with multiple piercings and also has recurrent reasons to remove my piercings, this kit works well for helping me to hold onto the different pieces while removing or replacing them. I have piercings where I have balls that screw onto posts and captive beads. I also have to take MRI scans recurrently and I always have to remove any metal before I go in with the machine. Having to do that always ends up with some struggle of me making sure I don’t drop one on the bathroom floor or down the sink or….even in the floor of the car if I happen to be running late to get a scan done. This kit comes with 2 metal grabbing tools that work by pushing a plunger that is on one end and on the other it is pushing out 4 metal curved flexible wires. The wires act like a claw that can grab ahold of different shaped piercing pieces and works especially well to hold onto balls of all different sizes. The harder you push the plunger the further out the wires move and spread apart. They can hold just about any size piercing ball you might have, and It works great for holding onto my captive beads while both removing them or replacing them. The wires could hold onto jewelry that you need to screw on but I would not trust them to hold strongly enough to finish putting them on tightly. They have a strong grip but I would still use my hands to ensure that your jewelry is tightened fully. It comes with 2 of the grabbing tools as well as a tool that is a combination of long pointed tweezers on one end and on the other is a spoon that is flat but with sides on it. The “spoon” end has no lip on the outer edge like say a measuring spoon. Anything you pick up with it has to be something that isn’t going to roll as it will roll right off the end if not careful. The tweezers on the other end are quite long and pointed They work well for grabbing onto things like the almost impossible to hold onto micro sized rubber “donuts” that you sometimes have to use with plastic retainers. They are very helpful in putting one of those tiny little rubber rings on my labret retainer for example. The kit includes no instructions but how they function is extremely easy and straightforward. These tools are great for piercings and the only thing I could add as a warning is to use them carefully if using very close to the skin of any part of the body. The grabbing wires are small and the ends sharp enough that they will pinch badly if not careful. As great as this kit is for piercings, it works great for any kind of small items that need to be grabbed or held onto or retrieved…as long as whatever that item is can handle the pressure applied to it by the grabbing wires. The reach won’t be very long for use but if that is not a requirement…this kit will work well for you. I recommend the kit. I have used it myself and tested each of the pieces from plunger use to gripping strength to what the pressure is like if the “claws” are accidentally (or purposely) used on skin…my remark on that last one is be careful and do not do that. The holding/pinching force the tools have is too great and would most likely injure the skin if used in that way. Stick to metal and tougher small things to grab and the kit will do a great job for you. ... show more

    • The grabber tool works!
This item is perfect for holding small ball bearings during assembly work, versus the way I use to do it. Prior to receiving this item, i used the small screwdriver and grease or tweasers and grease methods. Either way is messy and tweasers can be too slippery. Does what it claims to do but it only comes in the one color. I found another manufacture who sells the item for a dollar less and it comes in 2 colors. I don't know how durable or how long it will last but if it ever breaks I will probably look for a better deal. ... show more

I definitely have been needing something like this for a while and am happy I finally ordered one!!! I always struggle with those tiny piercing balls, especially when I'm trying to change my jewelry alone with my big fat fingers LOL but this tool makes it sooooo much easier. It grips perfectly without slipping, even with the really small pieces or in awkward spaces like with my forward helix piercings. Super helpful if you've got multiple piercings, or just big shaky hands like me. Simple, cheap, and does exactly what it's supposed to do. A total lifesaver and I'm so happy I won't be dropping the backs of my earrings down the sink anymore ... show more

    • They work alright
I got these to be able to change my "permanent" screw in type ear studs in my cartilage. They are more difficult to use than I wanted them to be...especially if you are using them on yourself. It is much easier to be successful with 2 people, but I was looking for these to help me do them on my own. I found that the grip was not quite tight enough for some of my gems, but it worked on others. I'm not really sure what the difference was. So, they are alright, and will work for some things, especially with help. ... show more

I used these when im making beaded jewelry. I use the tweezer/spoon combo every single day. The tweezers are especially amazing. I've only used the picker thing once, but it did actually work. And you get two.

    • Hit and miss on the grabber
Could be a great set. One of the grabbers is useless. The tines for grabbing the bead are kind of flipped around, so they aren't able to grab anything dependably. I wasn't able to get a picture due to it being awkward to depress the plunger while holding it at an angle capable of capturing the bent tines. The other one works amazingly, Ave is extremely helpful for me these days. I can no longer grip and angle the beads for my piercings to rethread them when I've had to remove them for medical procedures or MRIs. This will help me place them at the correct angle so I can get them started. It also includes a bead scoop with tweezers on one end with a handy little cap for the tweezers. I have one of these already, but it didn't come with a cap, and I find this to be a much safer way of storing then while prevent the fine pointed ends from becoming unaligned. I would order this again, but knowing it's a hit and miss with the grabbers would make me look for a cheaper option first. ... show more
