So I read the reviews on this and I was hesitating because a lot of the reviews said it was really flimsy and it broke really easily but I took a chance my gauge fell out a couple of days ago so I’ve been using kind of like a bigger size to keep my hole open my ears have been hurting and I forgot which size my gauge was so that’s why I ordered this so I can get the size on my gauge and so I can order another pair now the sturdiness of it it’s really good for the one that I got at least but it doesn’t show the gauging sizes it’s completely wrong. I was going to measure my gauge and it could tell me which gauge size to order. They must have printed or edited some thing on the photo because it’s completely different than your product. This is actually the first time I’m reviewing some thing because I’m genuinely upset about this. But I’ll have to figure something out. ... show more

I have my ears stretched, my lip pierced, a rook, a helix, second lobe, and a septum piercing. I have too many pieces of jewelry that look identical aside from a size difference that I can't clearly see with my eyes, so this has been GREAT. The description did not tell you so I will, the inner sizing is not accurate, the outer straight edges are. I’m not sure why they include a larger inner portion but if you know how to properly size with the tool, it is extremely helpful

This thing broke after trying to measure a double sided flare earring! The plugs go in fine. Only have issues with double flares 😠

Might be an OK product if you don’t have double flares to measure, but you’re not able to squeeze a double flare plug in for measuring due to the design. I tried to force one just because, well, why not, that’s what I had to measure. I kind of figured it would break and it did.     • Good useful tool for measuring the gauge of jewelry
Very useful measurement tool, especially useful since jewelry does not always run true to size. Surprising how much variance this thing found (which explained some problems that I have had). Makes sorting very easy. Gauge size on one side, millimeters on the other. Seems accurate as long as you follow the instructions in the excellent review from another user. As that other review made clear that it is the opening size, not the hole above it, that measures the gauge so you must slide the jewelry being measured in from the side, Well worth the money. ... show more
