I did purchase a woven basket from Homegoods, propped up this tree about 6", filled with packing filler (thanks, Amazon!) and then put some fake moss on top with a plug in light. I really like this tree and it goes beautifully in an empty corner of my room. You really can't tell that it's fake from far away. It has a few olives but doesn't look too sparse or over-done. It comes in pieces that you can connect, and it fills out nicely. I got the 5-foot and placed it in a large planter with moss and the whole thing looks really classy. It's perfect if you are low maintenance and don't want to deal with real trees or plants that you need to water. I would buy these for all over my home. If you aren't sure on the height, plan out your planter first - you may be able to add 6 inches or a foot by placing it on something inside the planter. I used styrofoam I had laying around to secure it in the planter then added moss from the craft store. Voila! ... show more

I love my little olive tree. I’m continuing to place and fluff the branches. You have to know how to fluff artificial leaves and I do!. The base is very tiny, so it will require a much larger pot, or basket and rocks for stability. Do NOT use those cheap white rocks. They are just butt ugly. I purchased medium size river rocks, yet to be placed. The pot in the photos is mine, something I purchased 25 years ago in Dallas. The wood trunk looks cheap and fake but whatever. I do not have to water it! It beats the $350 one I saw at the Dallas Market Center! It may not be the same quality, but I saved a ton of money! ... show more

I got the 6.23’ olive tree and I have 10’ ceilings for reference. I was torn between two sizes and glad I got the taller room with my ceilings. I will say the tree is very too heavy so putting it inside of a basket with something to secure it would be helpful so it doesn’t fall over if you barely touch it.     • Too many gaps between the limbs. Adjusting the limbs doesn’t hide the sparse plant.

PROS: Quality leaves look nice Easy to put together.. Trunk looks nice with mixture of brown & black color CONS: Needs more limbs & adjusting them doesn’t make the tree fuller. I would have rated it a 5 IF less gaps between the limbs. I’d buy another one due to the pretty leaves & trunk but there aren’t enough limbs.
