The company promptly responded to my request for a replacement even though I was outside of the official return window. The snowshoes are decent and I assume rivets are used to meet the price point. Bought these for my husband as a winter holiday gift and he loves them. They are comfortable, easy to take on and off and worked really well for a beautiful snowshoeing excursion in the woods. They were also way less expensive than many of the other overpriced options. As it turns out they are functional, easy to adjust, smart looking, comfortable and all for a reasonable price. I live in Minnesota, we get a lot of snow. So far I've gone out in these three times and they have worked great. The straps are durable and secure well to my boot (female size 8). There are metal teeth at the bottom that help with traction. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

First time I tried to use them the front buckle broke on one shoe I was able to replace with another buckle that I had off an old backpack, they seem to work fine now.
