These are very high quality, the grass does not fall apart and the base of the rugs are sturdy and don’t fall apart either, easy to wash and my dog goes on them every time, if your dog is using them constantly every day I suggest replacing every two months.

Works super well my dog however would start chewing on it. Over time it’s get stinky so it will need to be replaced. I ended up subscribing to get a real piece of lawn shipped to me instead and that works alway better.

We knew we couldn't take our pup outside for several weeks until all his shots were done, and we live in a 3 story condo, and didn't like the idea of pee pads everywhere, so we went with this. He took to it from the start. We used the tray, insert, and pad as per the instructions but the insert seemed to just be one more thing to clean so we started leaving it out and putting a potty pad between the grass and the tray. That has worked better for us. He usually didn't produce the volume that would run through the insert holes so it just dried on the insert surface. For cleaning, I put the grass in a trash bag, then wipe down the tray to get most of the liquid out, then carefully take the tray (and insert, when we used it) to the kitchen sink, sprayed with cleanser, wash, rinse, dry. The grass pad...it's going to be a nasty endeavour whatever you do. I didn't like the idea of hose spraying (run-off into neighbors' areas) so those went in the bathtub with Comet & hot water, followed by a thorough rinse and sprayed with Nature's Miracle, then dried outside. After a few washes, the grass and parts of what it's attached to starts coming off. We rotated four pads and just bought another set of grass pads (will trash the most worn). I'd be reluctant to use these indoors close to a living area, as they do have an odor after a few uses. Maybe in a laundry room or spare bathroom. On the plus side, the few times we had just a potty pad down inside, our pup shredded it, which he's never tried with these. I'd rather he always went outside in real grass but when he can't, we'll still use these. Even when we had to move it from deck to garage during a hard rain, he knew immediately this was his potty. ... show more

It sheds quite a bit. Purchased to swap out with turf in a system that includes a tray with a lift between the tray and turf. Everything that’s plastic gets pretty stinky surprisingly quickly, so we put a disposable wee wee pad underneath the turf and that’s been a game changer! The turf absorbs bad odors so a rinse out followed by sudsing, soaking, rinsing and an air drying is highly recommended a couple times a week unless you want to keep buying replacement grass. This has been great for living on the 5th floor, my puppy picked up on it fast, had him potty trained within a week. I recommend the potty attractant with pheromones, watching your puppy like a hawk, placing them on the pad until they go, and high value treats. I place a potty pad underneath, and change it out daily. I bought the replacement grass, and change the grass every 3 days. I wash the grass in the washer, it was the only way I could get it clean and smelling good. It frays and falls apart in the washer, creates a big mess that I have to vacuum out the washer every time. Don’t recommend if soaking works for you. I buy the replacement grass every 2 months, since they are normally in shambles by the end. ... show more

after using these for a long time I have decided to write my review. I live in an apartment and have since I have been buying these, and in all honesty, if you have no other option then get these, but just be warned, after about 2 days of your dog peeing on it, it will smell like ammonia and no matter what you use to clean it, you will never be able to reuse it. what is way way way more cost effective i have found is if you have a local DAISO, they have 1 ft by 1ft grass mats for 4.25 each. for the same price of this petmaker product, you can buy about 8 of the mats from DAISO. Home depot or lowes also will work but then youd have to talk to someone to cut the artificial grass for you... all in all. will not purchase again. I have probably bought around 10 sets so 300$ worth because I didn't know there was another option. ... show more

I Bought for my Yorkie who is getting older. I am very happy with this. He will go to it now to pee. I just pour the pee out in toilet and set the whole thing outside and wash off every couple days or so. The pads are very durable. It is big enough for any small dog
