These lights are a really great option to install newer LED technology in older vehicles that have the large bulb systems. I didn't know these were available, so glad I found them. My daughter complained she could hardly see the road at night with her low beams and high beams were only slightly better. She has a 98 jeep Cherokee with a 4-inch lift, I figured the old lights just needed aimed correctly. This did help some but not much. With these lights it is a night and day difference. She is able to see clearly where the lines and road are in low beam and when the high beams are on the sneaky deer waiting to cross the road can be seen long before it wonders out. The install is very easy especially if you just want to use the headlight features. A cross tip screwdriver and a small roll of electrical tape is included with the kit. Remove 2 screws in the plastic cover around the light then the 4 screws in the chrome bezel that holds the bulb in place. Pull the bulb out a little to expose the plug. The plug connection was meant to be a tight fit so not to loosen over time, it likely has been connected to the bulb for a long time and will probably be stubborn to disconnect. Wiggly, pull and pry if needed slowly so not to break anything and disconnect the plug from the old bulb. On my vehicle I had to use the included adapter plugs to fit the new bulb and connected the spade ends to the vehicle plug, this connection should use the included tape to keep the bare metal from being grounded on the vehicle. Plug in the new bulb and reassemble the parts. Now if you do want to connect the very cool features of the turn signal and DRL (daytime running lights). Before you put the six screws back in would be the best time. This will be specific for the 98 Jeep XJ (Cherokee not Grand Cherokee) other vehicles may be a bit different, but the concept is the same. Right below the headlight is the turn signal and DRL light bar. It is a 2-bulb double filament system. It has 3 wires going to each bulb, a black for ground, Brown for DRL and Green for turn signal. I did not find a connector that was compatible to remove from existing light bar and plug into the wires on the new light. I had to tap the existing wires going to one of the plugs and run 12-inch jumpers with spade connectors on both ends to the DRL and turn signal wires on the new light. The cup that holds the light does have some space that the jumper can run through so as not to throw off the alignment. Tuck everything back in and put it all back together and you now have a great, updated, bright, safe and cool headlight system. I highly recommend these. ... show more

These lights are literally a night and day difference compared to the stock halogen bulbs. Easy to install the kit even came with a Phillips screw driver and a little roll of electrical tape. I’m quite surprised with how bright these things are. I didn’t have to re aim them. These would be great for anyone looking for brighter lights. They would be nice in the trails at night or if you have bad eyes these def brighten the road up. Also make a diffent appearance to you vehicle. The one thing that I seen is they have plastic lenses which glass would have stole the show. But still plenty happy with them ... show more

Nice housings with the amber signaling capability. Decent cutoff projection for on coming traffic but not the best. Sending these out with tape and a screw driver does show good effort in the product. The amber signal is very bright and clean looking as well as the running light. They have good quality to them! ... show more

It took about 10 minutes to replace the halogen lights on my 1988 E250! I did not connect the directional and running lights but plan on doing that later when the weather warms up - too cool a feature not to use. Obviously my antique van did not have this feature so I will have to do some wiring to hook them up. The lights are super bright and use less power in low beam mode (2.1 amp for halogen, 1.2 amp for LED) and about the same power in high beam mode (2.3 amp for halogen, 2.5 amp for LED). I didn't want to overload any circuits so I checked this first. The kit includes a conversion cable needed for some cars which I did not need, a disposable screwdriver which I did not need, and a small roll of tape - also not used.
