Designed better than others. I had purchased the white Perlegear and a second cord hider in black from a different company. The black hider placed the cord plug ins outside the frame. When I installed it pushed out far enough to hit a stud. The Perlegear is designed without this fault and can fit tight to a stud. It installs easily and comes with everything needed to install including a drywall saw and hole saw for the lower piece. Highly recommended.

This is a quality product. As a retired journeyman electrician, I can appreciate this in a product. First off, I was concerned that this product would come with a substandard wire size that feeds the top plug from the bottom plug feeding the power but it’s actually ROMEX with a molded plug on both ends. Nice touch. All provided power cords are of good length. As long as you have a plug within 6’ from where you will be cutting in the new boxes, you should be good. There was one small item that didn’t warrant taking away a star that I want to mention . On each new box that you will be installing, there is the gromit for data cables to pass thru. It’s made out of rubber and not very pliable. Better if it were some type of felt or something. Well they pop out if you don’t put your hands over it as you push your data cables thru. Pushing them back in is not a problem tho. Fit and finish looks great. Be careful when you start to tighten the wing tabs that secure each new box to the sheet rock. The screws are weak. And are prone to strip. Make sure you have a fairly new Phillips head screw driver on hand. As you begin to tighten the screws, don’t stop until you can’t pull the new box from the wall. It is my advice to not use a drill motor but rather hand tighten them individually until snug - if there is still slop, the screws aren’t tight yet. Providing sheet rock saw and a hole saw is also a nice touch. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this product. Highly recommend.

This seems like it was designed by an engineer that doesn’t actually use their product. There are multiple improvements if they just ran it by someone that installs these kinds of things on a daily basis. My main issue with this install was the plastic wings to tighten the wall units, the screws were tiny, I had the right sized Phillips head but the plastic was too tight and I kept on stripping the screws. What I ended up having to do is remove the screws and wings and tighten and unwind multiple times until it got easier to screw into the wings and then I reinstalled into the unit and it was fine. I am not overstating how difficult it was and if I hadn’t, it would have completely stripped the screw or broke the wings. The other thing was I wish the lower plug sat flush, instead of further back, this way they could have given a power cord that was flat and had 90 degree plugs. It sticks out really far and it’s not good for tight spaces, the cord is very stiff. It seems to do the job, but I’ve used better, felt a little cheap, at least the plastic. Still reasonable value.
