I bought this for the notes but the smell isn’t there. I was after a chocolate nutty smell with coffee. I would say this smells like a flowery perfume. Not relaxing. Not gourmand. Serious with a smell of heliotrope. I have several perfumes like this and it isn’t a bad smell but it’s nothing like what I purchased and I’m very disappointed.

Noire Sand by Twins Parfum is listed as being a unisex fragrance, but it is too strong and masculine smelling for my taste. I primarily lean towards gourmand or clean fragrances, but I've been trying to branch out with my preferences. I enjoy Tobacco, Green Notes, and Coffee so I was hopeful for this, but unfortunately the Oud and Frankincense are the stand-out notes here, and they were just far too strong for me - I find both of those notes to be sharp and almost bitter and they do not fade or soften with dry down. I was able to get small whiffs of the tobacco (pleasantly smoky) and coffee (rich and warm) but was not able to discern any green notes. The bottle is a nice size, with plenty of product and the fragrance has good longevity and almost too much throw. I put this on in the morning and I could still smell it 8 hours later when I ended my work day. Several people, even towards the end of the day, commented on the fragrance I was wearing - and I did not overspray, as I never do with a new fragrance. I'm in a large well ventilated office, and the people who commented were walking by my office door, which is over ten feet away from me. With such good longevity and throw, I wish that I liked the fragrance more. I would definitely be willing to try other fragrances from this brand, due to the lasting power of this one. I've never smelled the fragrance that this is inspired by, so I can not attest to how close it is, but when reading the notes and description of that fragrance, it seems likely that this is a very close match. Luckily for me, my son LOVES this, and sneaks into my bathroom every day to use it. I feel like this is a good value, if it's a fragrance that you will enjoy, but I would pay close attention to the notes before ordering.
