I work with elementary students frequently as a substitute teacher and classroom volunteer. From that perspective, these are my favorite eraser caps. They erase cleanly and don't fall apart nearly as readily as the typical pink/blue/green/yellow ones you're probably familiar with. Yeah, I know you can go to a dollar store and probably get twice as many erasers for the price, but these ones ACTUALLY WORK! And they last! What I don't like about these is the flimsy packaging. There's a small clear plastic part that is glued to a small cardboard backing. I've ordered these erasers several times, and the packaging always arrives in bad shape. On our most recent order, the clear plastic bit didn't even make it to our house, just the cardboard part and 9 erasers. Yes, just nine. In a package that should contain ten. Sigh. Even so, I still highly recommend these. Elementary kids (and even adults!) make mistakes and they need good erasers. ... show more

Coming from an individual who absolutely loves stationary, the Pentel Hi-Polymer Blocks erasers are an absolute must in one's pencil bag. It erases extremely cleanly and never leaves a mark behind on the paper. I find it very satisfying to use on a daily basis. Even though I have switched to online note-taking, I always recommend this block eraser whenever someone asks me. It also lasts long on a regular use basis, as long you don't lose it. We buy the 10 pack of these erasers every year and they work out really year, and they last very long and are really smooth in erasing stuff and even though this is expensive than other erasers, its worth it, the smoothness of this eraser is worth it for the price and they erase really well and overall if you are looking for an eraser back to school night, this is worth it. ... show more
