These compression socks are a little heavier than another brand we recently purchased - not a comment good or bad, just a description. My husband likes the graduated compression at this level - he has just started to wear compression socks every day for poor circulation - these seem to be helping!

Nice socks, although I cannot yet vouch for their durability. This really is the darkest navy blue I've ever seen, and I would have preferred it be a lot closer to blue than black.

at least 10 washings and still holding their shape. I do let them air dry as I do all my stockings. These look nice, comfortable and appropriate support. I'll purchase again.

I have been using Futuro black stockings (between medium and strong pressure) for over 8 years to mitigate the swelling in my legs and ankles caused by atrial fibrillation. I tried XL at the beginning, but after a few hand washings, they would stretch and become too long, irritating the skin on the rear of the knee area, or, if I folded down the tops, create an indent in my skin. I tried L(arge), but they were a little tight. By hand washing, I was able to coax 4-5 years out of each pair ($30 per pair at drug stores everywhere) with every day AND night usage. There seemed to be no competition to these expensive, not-quite-right for me pressure stockings. Until now (as a loud TV ad might bellow). A friend was wearing some nice-looking pressure stockings and he shared that they were from Dr. Motion, and that they were doing the trick for him. I immediately went online and purchased a 4-pack. Unfortunately, the ones I want/need, are backordered for two months. Since my Futuros were dying on-the-vine (so-to-speak), I was really ready for a change. Amazon algorithms recommended these stockings from Pembrook. A six-pack for less than the price of one retail pair of Futuros. I took the bait. They look like the Dr. Motion stockings and had a size labeled L-XL. I thought, "perfect," right between the Futuro's sizes, which, as mentioned, were never quite right on my legs (I'm 6'3 with a 34" pant length). I pulled the trigger and received the package in a couple of days (thanks Prime). I have been wearing a pair for 3 days/nights. They are extremely comfortable and they are keeping my legs in reasonable shape. Not quite as controlled at the Futuros (a-fib can be a b*tch), which produce perfect ankles every morning. But, reasonable. My notion regarding the sizing was rewarded: PERFECT length for me...exactly between the L and XL sizes from Futuro. If the Dr. Motions surpass these in control, while being as comfortable (aesthetics are very similar), and sized as well in the length, I will be in stocking heaven. In the meantime, I couldn't be happier with these mid-pressure stockings from Pembrook. If your needs are not as extreme as mine, these could be top-notch for you, and at this price, a great value, as well.

We really liked these socks. They are soft, fit well, BUT, the heels are now bare in some of the socks and we purchased these less than two months ago! They will not last and we are very disappointed. Looking for other compression socks!!
