  • The only SPF I’ve found that I can use.
The only SPF that doesn’t sting my eyes or leave a white cast.

  • It’s the Goldilocks Zone of Physical Sunscreen- not too shiny, not too drying
This sunscreen 1) Doesn’t make my skin shiny like I dipped my face in margarine- I know some folks love the “glow” look - but that’s not for me - this looks like skin 2) Doesn’t make my skin look dry, flaky and dull or accentuate my dry patches by making them look extra white and noticeable 3) Doesn’t aggravate my skin or break me out 4) Doesn’t smell 5) Doesn’t make my concealer pill or look like paste 6) Doesn’t make me look like a ghost 7) Doesn’t take forever to rub in It’s a bit pricey, but for a physical sunscreen, it’s in the Goldilocks zone for my pale, dry, sensitive winter skin. I apply over basic moisturizer like Cetaphil. For comparison: Vanicream is less pricey but takes wayyyy longer to rub in and is shinier. Elta MD Clear is more expensive, absorbs super fast with no initial white cast, but leaves me dry with white flakes by day’s end. It ... show more

  • The best sunscreen!
Love how this sunscreen doubles as a barrier protecting moisturizer! It's light, not greasy at all, and has no scent. My go to!

  • Won't leave a white cast
A gentle formula, not thick, and highly blendable.

  • Terrific for sensitive skin but a bit heavy
I did a lot of research on what kind of moisturizer with natural sunscreen would be good for rosacea. This one did not irritate but I found it a bit heavy and too moisturizing for summer.

  • Allergic Reaction
I applied Paula's Choice Barrier Protect Mineral Sunscreen to my face and a few hours later had a bad allergic reaction. My face turned bright, blotchy red. My skin stung and felt hot, hot, hot to the touch. It was like a really bad sunburn. It was especially bad around my eyes. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my apartment for 7 days. It took that long for the stinging and redness to subside. It was not pretty. I strongly encourage new users to test the product somewhere like the inside of your forearm before applying anywhere else. I don't know which of the many ingredients was the culprit for me, but I sure hope no one else has to deal with this happening to them. ... show more
