OXO Good Grips 4-Cup Angled Measuring Cup With a simple design alteration, Oxo has revolutionized a seemingly ordinary kitchen staple, making it doubtful that youย’ll ever go back to using a conventional measuring cup again. This 4-cup measurer has cup, ounce, and milliliter markings on its outside as most cups do. However, it also has a patented angled surface within the cup so you can measure out liquid ingredients while looking straight down into the measurer. This eliminates the need to bend down or lift the cup up to read the side. As with all Oxo products, this measuring cups has the signature ergonomic, nonslip handle. The markings are clear and easy to read, both inside and outside the cup. I like the shape - I can mix ingredients in the cup and the spout end allows for accurate pouring. I like the black padding on the handle. It eventually degrades and starts to slip off, but I will get years of use out these utensils. And, if I drop it, it won't shatter like a glass cup. I've never had one crack or crinkle, either - the material is good quality. Like any other measuring cups, the painted numbers will wear off in the dishwasher, so I'm careful to wash mine by hand. ... show more

Because I know the brand has been around for years I'm almost embarrassed to say I'm new to the OXO line, but so glad to have finally discovered it. I haven't bothered to price compare when purchasing their items. Not because I can afford not to, far from it...but because the utensils they sell make cooking so effortless that whatever the cost is it's worth it. I wouldn't imagine there'd be such a difference when it comes to a simple measuring cup and I told myself I'd never again purchase another plastic one because I've had issues with other brands. I buy those 2.5 gallons of water with the spouts on the front of the container and keep them in the fridge and that's the water I use for cooking. Everytime I need to measure water for a recipe it involves using the container's spout to put water in the cup, setting the cup upright on the counter, waiting until it settles in the cup so I can see how much more I need, then repeating. I'd seen these measuring cups in the past but couldn't imagine the use for being able to measure while at a slant or how it might work. Then one day while trying to measure water from the fridge I thought about how this cup might come in handy if I could figure out how to use it. I finally decided to go for it and found this one here on Amazon but couldn't find it in glass. Then it occurred to me how heavy a quality 2 cup glass measuring cup is and I decided it might be a bit much for me to handle so I made the decision to try another plastic one since I was going with a quality brand. As soon as I unboxed this I immediately noticed how balanced it felt in my hand and the first time using it I wasn't disappointed. I quickly caught on to measuring at a slant and noticed that unlike the lesser quality brands where I have to give the water time to settle before being able to get an accurate measurement, the liquid in this cup settles almost immediately once it's set on the counter. Something about the balance of this cup makes liquid settle quickly. Just as with every other OXO product I've purchased this has made cooking a dream. If something this simple makes life easier, then why not? My old 1-cup measuring cup had become almost impossible to read but it had served me well, so I got a new one. I like the angled reading that's easy and accurate. It cleans easily but I avoid the dishwasher because while the container will be fine, the applied printed material fades much more quickly. Best kitchen gadget ever!! Didn't know I couldn't live without this till I had it. Soooo easy to measure liquids. Just put on the counter and pour your liquid in and no guessing if your hand is steady. Easy to read super easy to measure out.

These measuring cups are great. I love that you can see the numbers on the inside of the cup. I donโ€™t think they are really heavy plastic but I think they will be sturdy enough.
