I had received a small sample vial of this perfume and a friend raved about how good it smelled then text me later that day to ask what it was… that she could still smell it on her when when we hugged and wanted it… so… I got online and ordered it straight away.

For the most part, I like this perfume, but I like it best after it fades a bit. The initial scent is almost off-putting, but after a minute or two, it softens and has a pleasant vanilla scent underneath something kind of sharp. However, unlike most high-end perfumes, this doesn't give me a headache, make me feel dizzy or upset my tummy as I'm apparently very sensitive to certain scents or ingredients. This scent would be good for a professional setting, as by the time one gets to work, the sharper portion should be faded and only a softer, slight vanilla, slight citrus and exotic floral fragrance remains. The round disc at the top which one presses to spray is annoying, though. It has come off several times when I've tried spraying, and although I realize the company must have been going for some sort of interesting aesthetic, I personally don't like it. The thick glass square bottle is pretty and feels nice and solid in the hand. It looks pretty sitting out, and of course there's the fancy “Oscar De La Renta” name on it that many like. I'm surprised that the fragrance doesn't last longer, at least on me. Usually, most more expensive perfumes seem to stay way past their welcome on me, but this one doesn't. Since there seems to be very few fragrances I can wear that don't irritate my senses, I'm quite glad to find something new that I can wear and enjoy. While this won't be my favorite perfume, it's one that I like the option of being able to wear when I want something different. I think if someone loves the fragrance, it may be a good value, but only if it lasts a long time on them. Thanks for reading.

When I started wearing this I had a coworker come into my office to ask my if I had a spray/candle since my office smelled so good LATELY. NO MY FRIENDS IT WAS JUST ME WHAT A FREAKING COMPLIMENT 10/10
