  • Perfect slipper for high arches with orthotics!
Size: 10 Wide Color: Light Brown
I ordered the light brown slipper in 10 Wide. Even though the website said that 10 X-wide is your recommended size based on millions of customer orders and reviews. Ha! That worried me because I usually order a wide in any shoe and I scoured the website looking for how they define wide and extra wide. There was nothing anywhere about how to determine the width of shoe to order, which is odd, since this company prides itself on fitting people with orthotic problems. So just for someone else worried about this, I measured my feet by tracing on a piece of paper. My bare foot, no socks was 10 and 3/16 inches at the longest spot and 3 and 14/16 inches at the widest spot. I normally wear a women's 10W and so I went with that and it fits perfectly. Also, just FYI- the box that they came in says they are Lorin Taupe Wide (D) US 10 and UK 8 and EU 40.5. Inside the slipper was an insole with nice soft covering and a bit of slope to the arch. The insole itself was gently sloped, higher at the heel, and so is the shoe, higher at the heel. I have been told that I should be wearing shoes that have a slight rise at the heel and also some rigidity in the sole for my orthotics. These fit the bill on both counts. Also in the box were a set of heel cups (in a bag called arch booster), a set of spacers that are 1/8 inch and a set of spacers that are 1/16 inch. I pulled the original insole out and then went to work with my stuff. I use a double air pillow insole that is the same thickness throughout, then a set of solar insulating insoles (with aluminum on the bottom and fuzz on the top, also the same thickness throughout, then my custom orthotic made for exceptionally high arches. All of this fit in there and when I tried them on they were not too tight. I didn't have to undo the adjustment tab on the inside of each foot to allow for more height. I was really pleased that these have an adjustment strap as well as some elastic right at the inside of each foot, which could have allowed for higher arches. There is also some stretchy fabric on the outside on the opposite side of each foot but it is not as stretchy as the elastic underneath the adjustment tab on the inside. They are nice and fuzzy and warm and I like the hard heel that allow you to slip in, hands free. So these are definitely a keeper. I usually struggle with getting the right slippers because by the time I put all my insoles in them my feet are so high that the shoes either pinch the top of my forefoot or there is almost no heel support because of all the room I took up with insoles. So I think these are virtually perfect. If you are worried that your arches are too high for these, don't be. There is plenty of room for adjustment even with custom orthotics. ... show more

  • Best Ever! I have two pair and want to order more.
Size: 8.5 Color: Brown
I truly love these shoes. If you are like me, I will spend the money to keep my feet from hurting. These are definitely worth the investment. The first pair I ordered in gray, and I accidently wore them outside and found myself in the mud last fall while working in the yard of my new house. They actually saved me a trip to the ER because I unknowingly stepped on a buried board that had a large nail sticking out of it, but the hard rubber bottom heel kept it from going all the way through the shoe. I cleaned them up and have used these as outdoor yard shoes all winter. I have scrubbed off the mud and let them dry ten time over. They are still in pretty great shape (and comfortable) considering the abuse I have put them through almost every day. I suspect they will last me many more spring, fall and winter seasons. They have kept me from coming in from yard work with my feet hurting since they have such great support. I ordered the dark brown one to have as regular shoes. They are nice to wear out and do not look like slippers. I ordered an 8.5 for both my usual size and used all the insoles sent with the shoes making the fit and support perfect. They stretched a tad, in a good way like a glove, but nothing that made them sloshy or loose to wear. I do NOT have wide feet and love that these have a slimmer fit, so these do not look like slippers. Orthofeet has slippers (which I have also owned for 5 years) and those are wider, meant for frequent slipping on and off. These are comfy like slippers but wear like an everyday boot you can wear them around the house or even when you go out. Gonna, get the black or tan ones next. ... show more

  • Buy This-Support, Quality & Comfort!!
Size: 9 Color: Black
LOVE this slipper! It has EVERYTHING I wanted-Outstanding quality, arch support (I have pain in my achilles heel), perfect fit (I wear a 9 and ordered a 9/40), softness, slip resistant, and easy slip on. It was comfortable without the additional insoles and arch support, but my left big toe felt cramped and I needed more arch support. I put in the included green insoles and arch supports and MY OH MY, PERFECTION PLUS! Buy these. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Great for your back, comfortable, warm, and cute!
Look, I don’t mind spending a pretty penny on shoes that help my back out, and bonus when they keep my feet warm. I have purchased may expensive shoes in my later life years, and these are in the top 3 of my favorite. I’ve had On cloud shoes, Uggs, Brookes, etc. and this winter I ONLY wore these most days. I got them for when I take my dogs on walks. I figured cold, snow, and long walks, I needed a good pair that did it all. And these do! -They are SO comfortable -You can step into them, no need to bend over -They keep you warm, not too hot, not cold -They did insanely well when walking on ice and snow- no slipping -The color is gorgeous! They’re just the right height, not too short, not too tall. -They have held up extremely well walking in them every day For an older lady with back and knee issues, these have been a Godsend. ... show more
