Not just for wheelchairs !!! I bought these as a ramp for my miniature horses to easily load into my trailer. They are perfect !!! The 600# weight limit is more than enough. Easy set up and storage. However, only after a cpl uses the black non skid stripping is tearing only being walked on. I will have to replace it sooner than expected. They are easy to set up and fold back up and have a nice carry handle. They aren’t overly light and I see the weight of them a little concern being someone who is elderly that would need to carry. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and find these ramps a good quality over all for the price despite the cpl minor issues I mentioned.

We have a close friend who is wheelchair-bound and we got this so he could easily get on our patio and into our house when he visits. It has worked beautifully! It's small enough to be manageable and easily moved from place to place, the perfect size to get over low step-ups and up a two-step incline into the house, and is sturdy enough to support our weight without concern. Would definitely buy again.

We are in our mid-70s but needed a product like this as my wife recovers from surgery on tendons in her foot. No weight bearing for 12-15 weeks several months of PT. The steps are high where our adult children & grandchildren live here in Ohio because of SNOW! The ramp is almost too heavy to move and setup but with help I can manage it. The rough surface prevents rolling down by accident. It is difficult to maneuver but I recommend it.

Got the 5 foot ramp to go over two steps for my mother who recently had her leg amputated and is now in a wheelchair. It worked but just a little steep. We should of got the 6 foot ramp but it will do for now until she will need the longer 7 foot ramp with the rail once she’s fitted and trained with a prosthetic.

This ORFORD NON-SKID WHEELCHAIR RAMP (5FT, Non-Slip Surface, Portable) is a sturdy, lightweight ramp, but it is barely wide enough to accommodate my husband's Medline manual wheelchair. Unfolded, the ramp measures just 28-1/2" wide, which leaves about 1" on each side of the wheels when the chair is on the ramp. My husband's Quickie powered wheelchair is narrower, so the ramp width is almost adequate. However, the powered wheelchair weighs at least 330 lbs. (without a person in it), so the 600-lb. capacity of the 5-foot ramp is barely enough. I don't feel that this ramp is safe for everyday use by a disabled person unless a caregiver is present to supervise wheelchair placement. It is simply too narrow for comfort. I think that a width of 29-1/2" unfolded is the absolute minimum for unsupervised use of a wheelchair ramp.

My mom became wheelchair bound and I wanted to be able to get her into my house for family celebrations. I wanted something that could get her in when she was over but then put away when she wasn’t. We had no problem getting her in my house. When you step on it, it feels like it gives just a little but it isn’t. This ramp is durable and lightweight. We’re able to fold it up easily and store away.
