I’m writing this review to salute the unsung durability of these Olukai flip flops. This summer, I decided to channel my inner DIY enthusiast and build a 140-ft fence. This involved digging eleven 36-inch-deep post holes. Naturally, the logical choice for such a task would be sturdy work boots, but I thought, “Why not test the limits of human stubbornness and footwear engineering?” So, I strapped on these sandals and grabbed my shovel like the world’s least-prepared landscaper. Let me tell you, these sandals are warriors. They took on Georgia’s unyielding, sun-baked clay like it owed them money. The grip was solid, the comfort unmatched, and not once did they scream, “Stop this madness!” I thought I’d cave and switch to boots after the first hole, but nope—these flip flops wanted to see the job through. And now? The fence stands tall, and these sandals are still kicking (pun intended). As a bonus, they’re also ridiculously good-looking, so you can go straight from a backyard excavation to a casual dinner date without missing a beat. Would I recommend them for digging post holes? I really liked these, they seem like they are very comfortable and durable. Unfortunately, they do run on the smaller side so I had to return them. If you but a size up they should be perfect.

This is by far the best flip flop I ever owed I cant think of of a better shoe with this much support and comfort . Right out of the box it put them on and it was like made for my foot . The quality fit and finish top notch. I dont know what people on here are talking about breaking in period because I cant believe they can actually get better. I've been buying flip flops for a long time, 30+ years, it's my favorite form of footwear. I tend to favor surf brands like Reef, Quicksilver, etc., but I've tried many more. I don't like to spend a lot on these shoes because I wear them out. I wear through the traction. But, this year, I got a gift card from my son and I decided to "go for it" and spend his money (yay) on these and I can't believe how much I love these. I have a very high arch and these feel like a dream. I didn't know flip flops could be this good. Fan for life. I hope next year my kids get me a gifite for Father's day again and I will get into another set. These are so well made they'll probably still be looking and working great, but then I'll have two styles to choose from. Can't say enough good things about these. I love my Reef and Quicksilver too, but the OluKai are hands-down my favorite to wear for the comfort. Glad I gave them a shot. ... show more
