  • Surprisingly comfortable. Worth the cost.
Size: 11 Color: Blue Depth/Dk Shadow
I'm a 10.5 EE in quality leather boots. I'm a 10 to maybe a 10.5 in tennis shoes. I'm almost always an 11 in sandals. I ordered an 11 here and the fit is great. The arch height on these was surprising at first. I honestly wore them around the house for a while before I could convince myself I didn't hate them enough to return them. The first few hours were odd enough that I felt like I was duck-walking. After that, I was honestly amazed at the comfort and support. It gets more and more comfortable with wear. I've had them soaking wet from slipping into them straight from a pool. They maintained no-slip grip, and dried very quickly. The colors (blue and grey) were neutral enough to wear with basically anything, and that's if you're being picky. I still may pickup another pair in brown. I struggle with sandals. Some of them with soft soles seem to crush to the point I can feel stones through them. Some of them are so bulky and rigid they feel like clogs. These are both sturdy, soft, and comfortable. The cost is a bit steep, but I feel like the value, comfort, and features justify the price. Great purchase honestly. ... show more

  • Best flip flops I've owned
Size: 12 Color: Dark Java/Ray
Have owned various arch support flip flops. These are hands down the most comfortable, supportive and actually stylish. Good quality overall. Wore for days at amusement park doing 20k steps and had no blisters or issues. Will buy more in future.

  • Comfort and supportive
Size: 11 Color: Dark Java/Ray
I recently purchased these leather flip flops, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! They are incredibly comfortable right out of the box, with a soft leather that feels great against the skin. The arch support is fantastic—l've worn them for long periods without any discomfort, which is a game-changer for me. They re stylish enough to wear casually or dress them up a bit for a night out. Overall, I highly recommend these flip flops for anyone looking for a blend of comfort and style! ... show more

Second pair I have owned. I’m a big guy, 350lb+, and these hold up very well. Supportive, comfortable for all day use and lots of walking. Highly recommend.

  • So far, so good. UPDATED: Still great; not perfect.
Size: 10 Color: Dark Java/Ray
* SECOND UPDATE: I've had these shoes for just about one year at this point, and I've worn them nearly every day. Here are my observations: - The footbed has compressed further. They are still relatively comfortable, but walking on uneven or gravelly surfaces is more noticeable now. However, one benefit of this is that the foot moves less in the shoe during wet weather (as mentioned in the original review). - The sole is finally showing some wear under the ball of my foot, but the tread still has definition throughout. I'm somewhat impressed with the longevity of the sole in comparison to most other sandals I've owned. - The thong and upper are still in good shape and show no signs of deterioration or separation from the shoe. One shoe's strap *might* have stretched a bit, but if so, it's so minimal that it's really difficult to tell for sure. - I, along with other reviewers here, have noticed an issue of the front end having the problem of catching on the ground and "folding" under the shoe. This only happened once in the first 6 months of ownership, but it seems to have become a bit worse with age, happening probably once every couple of weeks now. I think it's due to a combination of sole wear and footbed compression, as well as possible strap-stretching. I'm wondering if the people that observed it from their initial purchase bought their's a bit too big? Either way, it's particularly vexing, because it tends to shred the front of the shoe when it happens on pavement, wearing it down further and leaving hanging bits of rubber that need to be clipped off. FINAL THOUGHTS: Unfortunately, due to the above folding problem, along with the traction issues that I mentioned in the last update, I've decided to drop a star from the initial review. These are very good shoes and are still among the best sandals I've ever owned, but there are some obvious improvements that could be made, particularly for someone who wears them every day. On the other hand, if you do not wear sandals every day, you will likely find that these will last you a long time; just take particular care to avoid getting it in a size that is too big for your foot. *Additional comment: I've noticed some more recent reviews refer to this shoe as having a "high" arch. I would agree that it is higher than most sandals (particularly cheap ones that just have no arch at all), but truly high arches kill my feet, and these shoes are very comfortable to me. I wouldn't expect that the manufacturing process would have changed over the last year, but just as a warning, YMMV when it comes to arch support. =================================================================================== *UPDATE: I've had these shoes for ~5 months now. These are my daily wearers, and I live in a climate that allows me to use them even in winter. Here are my observations: PROS: Despite some obvious compression, the footbed is still quite comfortable. There is no noticeable stretching, tearing, or other deterioration in the thong or upper, and there is no indication that they will fall apart on me any time soon. These shoes are well constructed. Tread wear is almost non-existent. They look almost like the day I bought them (also a possible con; see below). The colors haven't faded at all. CONS: Traction in certain wet environments (especially things like high-traffic tile floors during a rainstorm) is a big issue. They don't look like they would have as poor traction as they do, but I think the reason is indicated by the lack of tread wear. The outsole has held up so well because it is quite hard, which doesn't allow for much compression, and thus gives poor traction. They are still better than the Reef Phantoms, but I would put the Ohana only slightly over average for traction ability. The rubber outer edge of the shoe is prone to some cosmetic wear. I've rubbed them up against a curb or door on occasion, and it's a little more obvious than I would have expected. If the makers had used that same rubber for the bottom of the shoe, these shoes would probably have better traction (but wear down MUCH faster). In general, I am still happy with the purchase. These are definitely one of my favorite pairs. =================================================================================== *ORIGINAL REVIEW: I wear sandals daily, pretty much year-round. An unfortunate fact is that most sandals are not made for everyday wear. The problems range: many are too uncomfortable for long-term use, others just can't handle constant wear and quickly degrade. Some will be durable and comfortable, but ugly as sin, while still more will have weird quirks, like excessive "squeakiness," especially when wet. However, my single biggest peeve is that so many of them, even very expensive ones, have extremely poor soles. I don't expect them to allow you to run in a downpour, but I would hope that if I am caught in an afternoon shower, they have enough traction to keep me from careening off the sidewalk. I've owned many sandals with which you can "skate" on smooth, dry surfaces like linoleum (e.g. Reef Phantoms). I've been wearing the Olukai 'Ohana sandals for a little over three weeks now, and so far I am impressed, which is not an easy thing to do, especially at this price. Here are a few key things I like about these sandals so far: Comfort: The first surprise was that they feel ridiculously comfortable to me. It should be noted that I have pretty flat feet, so I require a very specific amount of arch support - just enough to prevent tendinitis, but not so much that my foot is contorted. These are PERFECT for that. They have a low-profile arch, but are very solid. The bed is somewhat spongy, but not too thick, which makes them very comfortable without being sweaty in warm weather. It remains to be seen how long they will maintain the shape and sponginess, but they seem well made, so I have high hopes. These are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned, but people with high arches may want to avoid them (especially if you plan to wear them often). Thong: Another thing I appreciate is the nylon thong. My last pair of fairly expensive sandals (Sperry Top-Siders) were fantastic for looks and traction, but the leather thong had only a weak scrap of cotton as supplementary support, and it soaked up moisture. One of them rotted through in less than a year. They are now unwearable. The 'Ohana feels very well made, and the nylon won't rot. Looks: I bought the Dark Java color. The Sperrys (in very similar colors) were probably the best looking pair of sandals I've ever owned, but these are a solid second. The nylon thong, while very functional, is still just woven nylon. I was worried about the lighter foot-bed attracting dirt, but it hasn't been a problem so far. The two-tone style really makes them stand out without being gaudy, and the toe-shaped foot-bed adds some flair to what would otherwise be a fairly plain-looking shoe. Traction/Wet weather performance: I took these out into a rainstorm for a real-world test. This category is where these shoes both excel and fall flat. The sole is great. Not QUITE as good as the Sperrys, but certainly close enough. (They are significantly better than my Reef Phantoms.) The 'Ohana's sole will keep your feet planted...or at least the shoe. See, the issue is that when the foot-bed gets wet, it becomes slick as soap. Your feet want to slide WITHIN the shoe. Fortunately, the my sizing was perfect, and my foot remained tethered in the shoe by the thong and upper. Even though it was disconcerting, I could actually jog a short distance before I felt like I was tempting fate. However, if you bought these even SLIGHTLY too big, you would do well to avoid wet weather. This is the only true caveat I have found with these shoes at this point in time. So far I feel that these are great sandals, even given the relatively high price. As mentioned before, make SURE that you get the right size for your foot, and be weary if you have a high arch. I will try to update this review after some more use to see if they hold up. ... show more

  • Order a size up and enjoy. Big dude's can apply.
Size: 16 Color: Tan/Dark Java
As others have said, I usually wear a 15 in some shoes and 16 in sandals and some shoes, so I ordered a 16 in these in 2025 after buying and returning a size 15 in 2020 (that I didn't remember doing). I have wide feet and these are decently wide, but not out of control wide. These are keepers, the extra arch support is nice, I'm a big guy and these feel good for longer outings. I wore Reef Fannings for 10 years but decided to try these when I needed to replace my previous Fannings. These are worth the extra cost. These are my new ride and or die sandals. ... show more
