I am a woman with long hair, and a significant amount of strands fall out when I wash it. In the past, I have dealt with clogged drains that I then have to snake, plunge, and use multiple rounds of hot water, vinegar, and baking soda to unclog. I have tried many different brands and designs of drain catchers through the years, and find it hard to stick to using them because while they catch hair, they also don’t allow water to pass through once they have caught it. Not anymore! These catch all of my hair but also allow water to pass through easily, so I don’t have to stand in water during my shower anymore. Emptying them could not be easier—I just dump the contents in the trash (with other designs, I have had to pull my hair off of the catcher, which is gross and more time-consuming). They set right in the drain and don’t move, but are also very easy to take out to empty or clean. Cleaning is quick and easy with soap and a regular sponge. As far as I can tell, nothing is getting past it and going into the drain, and I have had these for about six months now. They also seem solid and I can imagine that they will last for a very long time. I only wish I bought them sooner!

I originally purchased these to put in my tub when I bathe my dog so the hair doesn’t escape down the drain. They work great! Obviously I had to empty it a couple times because my golden retriever sheds more hair than you would think is even possible but they did the trick. I used the second one in my kitchen sink to catch food remnants. Good price point for fairly sturdy drain covers (they are not heavy duty) and they fit over both drains well.

Good product well made. One of the strainers was warped so it would not lay flat around the drain. Used a pair of plyers and did some bending. Seams to fit good now.

These filters actually capture the lint. Very sturdy construction; these will last. I've purchased other traps, which do not sit flat on the drain, and allow the lint and hair to slide underneath their rims, because they don't sit flat. It's how the collar is constructed that makes these filters work.
