Several years ago, I worked in a Jewish-owned grocery store and they sold these. Then I moved across the country where the grocery store chain isn't located. I was thrilled when I found these online this year, and bought several boxes of them. I use them when reading at night. The dim light makes me sleepy but my ADHD brain demands reading before sleeping. When the air in the bedroom isn't moving, these burn for three hours, no dripping, no issues. Timed it for ever box of candles. Because the boxes smell funky, I remove the candles and place them in a different box. The candles have no odor, but the cardboard box they're stored in often smells unpleasant. Trimming the wicks isn't an issue, seeing as the wick of any candle should never be longer than 1/4 inch. Because these are thinner than standard taper candles, I melt the bottom before placing them in the candle holders I use. This keeps them upright and firmly in place. If using particularly wide candle holders, I'll put a little sand in them and sort of bury the bottom half inch in the sand. These are fantastic candles, especially for the price. ... show more
