Description

Oakley Gascan sunglasses feature two lenses that are cut from the curve of a single lens shield, then mounted in the frame to maintain the original, continuous contour and offering an unparalleled peripheral field of vision. The look is so unique, Oakley customized its corporate logo just for this eyewear. Each pair of Gascan sunglasses sport Oakley's famous Plutonite lenses that block 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light up to 400mm. The Oakley Gascan's lightweight O Matter frame offers premium comfort while Oakley's three-point fit system retains the lenses in precise optical alignment eliminating the pressure points common in sunglasses that wrap around the ears.

  • Oakley Gascan
This is my second pair of Oakley Gascans and they are fantastic! My originals are a bit long in the tooth and have endured extreme use. I use them for all sorts of hard use, primarily when riding my motorcycle. They sit and seal well against the wind and have been hit with kicked up rocks from other vehicles and endless bug hits. And a one-time flying bat- the bat parts washed off nicely. They've come off my face only once when I was not wearing a helmet at highway speeds and I was able to recover them with only minor road rash. I still use these as my go to sunglasses. The lenses have stood up but will need some new ones soon. This version of Gascans have a bronze lens which provides great lighting contrast which I hope will help at the target range. I am very happy to see these are not cheap knock-offs, but legit Oakleys. I would not put my Randolph Engineering Aviator (mil-spec) glasses through the punishment my Gascans have endured. ... show more

  • Worth the Purchase!!
Ive purchased my fair share of sunglasses and I have to say these are one of the pairs that have stayed with me over the years. theres something about buying glasses that are not from a gas station that make you want to keep an eye on them and not loose them. The fit is great with these glasses, I know they look kinda bulky but i assure you they are exactly opposite, they rested very well on my head and the ends never bothered my ears after staying on my head for long periods of time. and unlike the gas station sunglasses THERE ARE ACTUALLY POLARIZED!!!! Amazing quality!! ... show more

  • Classy, wide in the right spots, polarized
I ordered the GasCan sunglasses both because I prefer polarized lenses for driving and because the wide areas on the temples might block the sun from hitting my eyes from the sides late in the day. There are many late days to and from work where the setting summer sun just cannot be blocked no matter how I adjust my car's visors. In those cases, and many others, GasCans do the job admirable. The tortoise shell design is classy enough for meeting clients yet bold enough to wear on my V-twin cruiser. And after propping the GasCans up on your head in a dark bar room, the large, shiny gold icons let the ladies know you don't mind dropping some coin. Ka-Ching!!! The fact that there are so many replacement lenses available out there (both OEM and aftermarket) is another bonus. Bifocals or prescription lenses are obtainable, if not cheap. Overall, as with all my Oakley sunglasses, I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Good product and price.
Great price fast delvery, the real deal for sure. Wish all there glasses were still us made quality is definitely not as good as it once was been a long time Oakley buyer and this pair is by far the lowest quality I have ever seen from Oakley but it’s all the first sub 150$ Oakley’s I’ve bought so I’m judging against higher priced glasses. Overall I would buy them again. ... show more

  • I'm 205 lbs and stomped on them. They didn't break. Superman's shades?
I usual don't write product reviews but I feel like I have to after an incident today. Okay first off, I always assumed my oakleys were overpriced b/c who wants to spend this money on sunglasses unless your one of "those guys" that collects them. I've had them for about 9 months now and they've been pretty good. For some reason they were on the floor while I was frantic trying to get out the door and just destroyed them. I don't mean i just lightly stepped I mean if there was a small animal under my feet it wouldve been roadkill. Think 205 lb bull in china shop. immediately I started freaking out because I saw 5 pieces on the floor. Then I looked closer and realized nothing was broken--I just snapped the pieces back together like a puzzle (the two sides the front then the two lenses). I just stood there in aw for about 30 seconds when I realized what just happened and that they still moved and fit exactly the same on my face. ... show more

  • Love the glasses
Color: Matte Black/Black Iridium Mirror Lens Width: 54 Millimeters
This is my second pair. When I lost the first ones, I had to get another. They have made some improvements in the new version. They have a new spring hinge. I also noticed the frame around the lens is a little different. The back upper side behind the lens has a little lip on them. This could be so the lens do not pop out easily, or it could be helpful when changing out the lens. You can find replacement lens online. I like to have different color when I play golf. Easy to change out. Last thing, I really like the temple piece being wide so it blocks out the sun from your peripheral vision. ... show more

  • Genuine Oakleys, at less than half of MSRP.
These sunglasses look great, and thanks to their polarization, are fantastic at protecting my eyes as I drive into work. I got them for about 75 dollars, so I was definitely skeptical of their authenticity. However, lo and behold, they're real Oakleys. They fit a bit snugly, so beware if you have a head that's a bit wider. However, that definitely doesn't retract from the quality of the glasses themselves. The noseguards are built into the frame, so no worrying about them falling off or wearing down. I would recommend buying the suggested case as they only come in a protective vinyl bag. All in all, an excellent purchase, for a great price. ... show more
