We took this to a trusted dealer who buys and sells gold and silver and it checked out. The reason this was done was because a local jeweler sold a 10k necklace with a 14k clasp. A favorite trick of the less than honest is sell plated sterling silver with sterling silver clasps.

Update: BUYER BEWARE - The bracelet does pass the magnetic test however, the lobster claw clasp also marked 10k is magnetic indicating the clasp is not gold or parts of the clasp are not gold.
