    • Exceeded expectations, and they shine up nicely
I was hesitant to buy these, because typically you get what you pay for. I've owned them for about four months now, and, so far, these shoes have exceeded expectations. Comfort: I wear them 3-5 days per week at work, and I use a standing desk, so I'm typically on my feet 5-7 hours per day. They are comfortable throughout the day. I ordered the shoes in a wide size, and they fit my broad, stubby feet very well. The sizing was as expected. Durability: So far I haven't had a problem. A frequent complaint about cheap shoes is that the soles and the uppers separate, but so far everything is staying together properly. There has been some very minor wear on the sole, but nothing more than would be expected from how much I have worn them. They are solid. Sound: I like the sound they make when I walk on the tiled floor in the courthouse. They have a distinct sound that is much more pleasing than my old rubber soled shoes. It's kind of the tap-tap of a military parade, but not the clickety-clack of a woman in stilettos. It's kind of silly, but I feel like when I march into court with those shoes on, it subtly commands respect and attention. Looks: They are nice, but nothing too special when you pull them out of the box. I wore them with the factory shine for the first two months, and they looked good. A couple months ago I popped in a movie and gave the shoes some love. I used nail polish remover to strip the factory shine from the shoes, and then used wet (not soaked) cotton balls to apply and thoroughly rub in some brown shoe polish. The process took about 90 minutes, but the shoes look amazing now. Even with some light scuffing over the ensuing two months, these shoes look like shoes that should cost much more than the $65 I paid for them.     • Great value for the price, but do not mistake these for high quality shoes
Let's be clear about what these shoes are - they are cheaply made (glued, I'm assuming) with cheap leather, and sell for a cheap price. Do not buy these shoes expecting several-hundred-dollar-shoe quality - I would never, not would anyone with even a novice eye for shoes or leather, mistake these for Allen Edmonds. They wear and crease like cheap leather. However, for the price (~$70), they are a great deal and are absolutely worth purchasing for anyone interested in getting a dress shoe for a cheap price. I purchased one pairs (cognac) to use as bad weather shoes. I live in a city and walk quite a bit outside, and I wanted to save some wear on my nicer shoes by avoiding repeatedly wearing them through the rain. The comfort level and the look was good enough that I started wearing them even on good weather days, and eventually purchased a second pair (dark brown) for a similar purpose. The soles are slim flat rubber, though from a distance they appear to wear down like a leather sole, and do not have the grip you would get with a rough rubber sole or a worn leather sole; lately I've been wearing my bad-weather shoes on snowy/icy days, and that has been the only problem with these shoes so far. They are comfortable enough that I can wear them all day (I work in an office but spend ~half the day on my feet). I do not expect they will last nearly as long as nicer shoes, but with each pair being worn 1-2 times per week for the past few months they have held up just fine. If I'm able to get a couple years out of them wearing them 1-2 times per week, I will consider it a great deal and would consider buying again. ... show more

I have been wearing these for about a month now and they are now my new favorite shoe. The Cognac color and style is very versatile with both suits, dress pants, chinos, and jeans. I am an experienced shoe polisher, so if you put mix a little lighter and darker polishes, you can give these shoes a much more high end patina (see pics of my spit-shined pair). PROS: - Comfortable shoes that look very haute couture once you put some time and polish on them. - Fit as expected (I usually wear size 12 in dress shoes, and 12.5 in athletic shoes and this shoe fits perfect. CONS: The leather, especially around the opening and ankle area is pretty stiff at first. It takes awhile to break in, but after about a week they are soft and good to go. ... show more

I haven't purchased Nunn Bush wing tip shoes in a number of years, but I used to wear them earlier in my career. The pair I bought on Amazon earlier this month are great. They were easy to break in, probably partially due to it being an all-leather shoe, and they fit very well. The price was very reasonable for a leather dress shoe. They look great! I ordered these using Prime Wardrobe and they looked great when I tried them on at the house. I proceeded to keep them and wore them to work the next day. That's when I started to see what these shoes really were. I wear a 10M for all my dress shoes and these fit a little loose. I started to get blisters in the back of my feet. Thick, cotton socks instead of dress socks probably would've fixed this problem. The bottoms have absolutely no traction so you will slip a little on tile floors. The front of the toes are starting to crinkle and I can tell the quality will not last after a couple of weeks. Feeling the "leather" and it sort of feels like paper. I'm sending these back and getting the Stacy Adams version that's the same price. Hopefully those will hold up. ... show more

I realized i needed dress shoes last Wednesday for a wedding last Saturday so my girlfriend and I went shopping Wednesday night, selection at retail stores is a joke and the customer service is worse than that. My girlfriend found a pair for me she liked "somewhat" so i tried them on and of course seriously hurt my feet and looked horrible but since i was about out of time, i bought them. Well i decided to go where else, Amazon so i came across these dress shoes and read the reviews, nice looking shoes and most people said comfort in the first steps so i thought what the hell, try them out so i did.
