The length was true to the size chart, but the heel area is extremely loose. The fabric is stretchy at the front, but so loose at the back that my heel slips sideways off the sole unless I walk very carefully. I got these because I mistakenly thought they were barefoot shoes and I was looking for a pair of barefoot shoes to just wear around the house. Idk what is considered a minimalist shoe, but there is a very squishy and thick insole so it's definitely not a barefoot shoe. I found the insole caused some heel pain for me from only wearing them one a day. Lucky for me the glue for one of the insoles started coming undone on the second day and I realized it would be very easy to remove them and scrape off the glue. After taking the insole out these are basically exactly what I was looking for. There could be a bit more toe room than there is, though. I would probably try a size up if I didn't already have the largest size. I'd give it 2 stars as it is made because it caused pain for me and because the insole started peeling up so quickly which I imagine would be upsetting for people who want a cushiony shoe. It's maybe a 4 star shoe for me once the insole was removed so I split the difference and gave it 3 stars. I have only been wearing them for a few days, so I can't speak to how long they hold up. Soles are hard rubber and don't "catch" debris, keeping them neat and tidy! Socklets (or anklets) should be worn with them to absorb perspiration, but otherwise, perfect house slippers!
