    • Nuclear Medicine Instrumentation
The author states that this book was intended for nuclear medicine technologists for a more thorough understanding of nuclear medicine instrumentation. I initially thought this book was too superficial for my study needs in preparing for a nuclear medicine physics exam but changed my mind once I took a closer look. The information is actually pretty comprehensive for nuclear medicine and no less in depth than The Essential Physics of Medical Imaging by Bushberg. If you need nuclear medicine AND radiology, then Bushberg would be the better choice for an overall review. Both books are lacking some of the mathematical background you would find in other books such as Physics in Nuclear Medicine by Cherry, Sorenson and Phelps or Radiation Detection and Measurement by Knoll. Something I really like about this book is that it presents clinical nuclear medicine information regarding image processing and the use of filters, along with several images. The appendices also provide deeper explanations on some of the topics for those who need and/or want that. This book is easy to read and provides a lot of useful information, however, you will need other heavy duty references if your intent is to study at a higher level. ... show more
