I just checked it out to test it before packing it up as a soon-to-be Christmas present. I like everything about it, but I don't know if it is supposed to turn off and on and change colors just from holding it and lightly tapping it. It did this as I was packing it back into the box. Don't ever lose the remote (I guess) and it will be no good when the remote dies. OR....that's why it turns off/on and changes colors when you tap it. ... show more

    • Love this thing, but some quirks
I really love this light. It’s pretty and very soothing on its fade mode. I leave it plugged in and it’s on nightly for 6-8 hours. It has a great selection of colors and can be set to slowly change colors or smoothly phase through all of them at a quick pace. The only downside is that sometimes it just will not respond to the remote at all until you reconnect the power cord. It’s not dead, it just won’t respond. Giving it a jolt of power always fixes it. Since I leave mine plugged in all the time I just have to unplug and replug and it’s good to go. ... show more

Dislike: doesn’t look like pictured until lit up once the item is lit up it looks amazing. The stand is cheap quality and very easy to break while putting together have a bottle of wood glue ready. Left a note on front porch door that stated leave package inside door on front porch because of a nasty thunderstorm. Driver left a note stating that it was left on back porch by back door. There’s no possible way to miss that note you have to walk intentionally past the front door which is connected to the driveway to get to the back door and my items were so soaking wet that the cardboard disintegrated upon picking up and the globe bounced off the concrete. Likes: once lit up it looks amazing and really brightens up the room even if all the lights are on. It has an internal battery so once completely charged you can disconnect the power cord and it will continue to be illuminated. Overall it is a decent product and worth the price ... show more
