The helmet came with a 5 inch crack up the middle, likely from weight or pressure. It’s top is connected by a sharp metal rivet, that has potential to scratch at the user’s head or cause injury in a playful impact. In any event, the helmet is so shallow, that it won’t stay on anyway, so it is better off. The sword is a soft, hollow plastic. Not designed with kid play in mind. It won’t last longer than a week of play. The chest plate and shield are a flexible plastic, making it the most sturdy part of the costume. We got him a different set before and it was way too small. This one fits him well. He's 5 and on the smaller side. The helmet is still maybe a bit smaller than it should be but fits ok for now. He loves the outfit and especially the sound the sword makes when he pulls it out of it's sheath.

This toy armor set was a gift for my son and he loved it, and still does, the only complaint is the chest armor doesn't tie up well and stay on him, he will play with the set except the chest because it's too awkward to wear.
