I was very surprised by these boots . I tried them on a whim, and am very pleased. I have spent four times as much on other boots that needed to broke in for weeks , and still were not that great. These were comfortable right out of the box! They are also very light .

I wear size 13 and these fit, but not with very much to spare. I say this because I know some people that wear work boots with very heavy socks, and there it might cause a problem. The leather looks great, the soles, seams and laces are all flawless. I like everything about these boots except I would like to see the top 2 or 3 eyelets be the quick-lace type that just wrap around the outside.

These boots are great for all kinds of outdoor tromping around. The treads are deep and I feel the strong traction they get on the ground when hiking on the trail. They are really good at keeping my feet dry, and though I have a wide foot, they seem to accommodate that extra space I need. The laces are a bit of a pain to adjust, maybe the grommet is a bit small for the round laces, so they're tight. The color is a true army green, they look cool with jeans, my workshop pants, and after some more wear, these could easily be my favorite new hiking boot. The heel is roomy inside, and the toe box is plenty square and tall for my big toe. I like the height of the boot, we have a lot of snakes around here, and the flexibility of the material over the top of the foot is forgiving. Great boot.

I am really enjoying wearing these boots, and I'm not really a boot guy. I ordered a half size up (10.5) from my regular size 10. For hiking boots, always leave a bit of space up front. They fit perfectly and my feet are comfortable in them. You might think you are wearing sneakers, that's how comfortable they are. Breaking in period? There wasn't much at all. On my first long walk with them, about halfway back, they felt as if I had worn them for months already. I have put 15 miles on them...still super comfortable. The soles are nice and grippy, you can go on trails and off trails with these, you will have purchase on the land. I cannot claim that they are waterproof, but they definitely got wet in a big rain storm and I went through pretty good sized puddles with no worries at all. Feet stayed dry. So far, so good. I'd order these again in a heartbeat. Love them!

I got these Nortiv 8 work boots because my main work boots are showing a fair amount of wear, and it was time for a new pair. These are definitely an upgrade from the previous pair both in construction and comfort. One key element is that these really are waterproof, while my old pair was only 'kind of' water resistant: a big upgrade. I initially thought these boots felt a bit heavy, but once on, they felt completely natural. They offer good cushioning and arch support, lace easily, and just generally feel like a quality item. I also like the really solid traction they offer across types of ground, especially wet ones, and have a tread pattern that doesn't collect rocks and pebbles like some do. For what shoes cost these days--way too much, I mean--I think the price point of these Nortiv 8 boots is pretty fair. I expect them to last a really long time and continue to be versatile in a range of settings. I guess I could wish that they were steel-toed boots, but you can't have everything, I guess. What you do get is a well-made pair of boots that's solid and comfortable, and should be in use for an extended period. Good product.
