Initial assessment. I have flat feet and have a very hard time finding comfortable shoes. Comfortable boots are even harder to find. I also currently have a sprained knee and a fractured toe. This is the first pair of tactical boots I have ever had. I was surprised that these are very comfortable right out of the box. I've been wearing a knee brace every day for 3 months. I haven't worn it all day with these boots. I usually wear a 12 in most brands, 13 in Skechers. I ordered the 12s, they fit perfect. They seem a bit wide for standard fit shoes. The soles could use a bit more cushion if you will be standing a lot, but they are comfortable to walk in. I love the zipper side. They seem well made, though the shiny leather does make them look kind of cheap. I may look for a safety toe version for work. I will try to update after I have worn them more. ... show more

Bottom line: I really like these boots. I own a lot of boots (not really sure how that happened...) and these are the ones I wear most often by far. They're my second pair of SWAT/tactical-type boots, and my favorite of the two. I like(d) them enough that I'm giving them 5* despite the fact that they didn't even last a year before the heel wore out. Everything else about the boots seems to still be going strong. Maybe I drag my heels or something? At $65, however, I still consider them a good deal. I'd have liked them to have lasted a year...in fact, since I don't wear them much in the summer, I supposed I'd have to say that they lasted *significantly* less than a year. But, again, here I am, giving them...well, let's say: 4 1/2 stars... ... show more

Wearing these as my everyday boots... average 12 hrs a day... the comfort is there and seem sturdy. Fit is on the money and finish is on point. Went and ordered a second pair while they were on sale for when these give out (hopefully not for quite a while from what the majority of the other reviews are saying..) So far no problems found with them and will (actually already did) buy again! ... show more

First the sizing is perfect. I have a pair of Merrell mid height hiking boots that just ripped, with Superfeet Green Support Comfort Insoles . I took the inserters out of the 8,5 merrell and put them in these 8.5 Tactical Work Boots and they fit perfect. So the size is same as other more expensive rugged footwear. I have been wearing these for 2 hours and want to tell everyone these are more comfortable than my $195 Merrell shoes. I haven't had them out in the cold yet but will update on performance. I can tell you they are too hot to wear in the house, but of course that's not what they are made for I just wanted to test them out before wearing them outside. Cant wait to get to hiking with them. Also want to mention the zipper opening is large enough for me to get my foot in without uniting as I have seen other people say about other zipper shoes on here, these are perfect. If they are as good after taking a hike I will buy a second pair I like them that much so far. ... show more

I am very ruff of shoes and usually run through a pair every three months so I’m surprised to say I’ve had them for a little over four months and they are still in tack very comfortable and still look great. For the first week they dig into your ankles but it’s not to bad. I love how they fit and look plus they are quite tough. They have a air pocket not to sure if it’s a defect but it’s in both shoes in the same spot between the toe and arch and it makes it super comfortable. 9/10 would 100 recommend and also to go with it for colder weather the freesoldier have a good product not quite as good but good. ... show more

So far it’s been great with the addition of my arch supports. With the side zip feature or without this, the boot seriously needs a loop on the tongue and back to assist in pulling the boot on!

To get a good pair of boots it usually costs over a hundred dollars…so I wasn’t expecting much with this pair costing less than sixty. I normally wear 11. Sometimes 11.5. I bought 12 and there is no room to spare. My feet are narrow also and this couldn’t be any narrower at all to be worn. It came with laces threaded. Was it a return? Sole is much stiffer than I thought. They are loud (clomping sound) when u walk. I hoped for softer and grippier. Should be fine but not perfect. I worry about zipper failure. Updated: I expected softer material and much softer sole. Very loud on hard surfaces. Not grippy at all. Not terrible boots but not what I wanted. UPDATE: the seller contacted me unsolicited and offered a full refund with no strings. I took it and gave the boots to some ground troops with me in Ukraine. I also bumped the review up one star. Boots weren’t a good product for me but this seller clearly cares and I would absolutely trust them again. ... show more
