  • Amazing Out of the Box
Size: 13 Color: Sand-6 Inches
My arches have fallen (flat feet). In short, not good. Our good US Navy saw no issue putting a very flat-footed individual on an 8-story aircraft carrier for 4 years. Anyway... Finding boots/shoes that work is nearly impossible and these boots are fantastic, right out of the box. The heavy-duty zipper makes things much easier coming and going, the internal arch support is amazing, the toe box is big enough to wiggle my toes and I can walk my dogs 1.5-2 miles daily without arch pain. I also wear Nortiv snow boots which have very similar arch support that led me to try these boots. They are also warmer than I expected and feel extremely durable. I will post an update if my experience doesn't align with my expectations after wearing them for a while. Update: after one month, they feel even better. In fact, they are so good at ordered the black pair so I could have a pair to work in and walk the dogs without messing the suede pair up, because they are a sharp looking boot that I started wearing to work in a business environment. Note that I had also purchased the Nike boots that are very similar to them and while the Nike boots are comfortable, they do not match the fit and support of these boots. When I lace them, I do so with force, as tight as possible, and they keep my weak and damaged ankles extremely secure. Two weeks ago, while walking the dogs on an asphalt path, I wiped out on a stretch of ice, kind of a contorted version of the splits on the way down, while wearing the black boots. When I got back on my feet, my left ankle was a little sore, but I have no doubt that if I had not had those boots on, laced tightly, it would’ve been a short walk back home or more like a hobble back home, but I was able to quickly walk off the soreness, and after a half a mile, I didn’t even know it happened. I will update this if I see where, in wear issues with either pair. For now, they give me tremendous confidence that my ankles are secure, and tremendous comfort! Note that I also wear them with very thick wool socks which also add to the comfort and our fantastic if you have neuropathy as I do. Either way, you cannot go wrong with these boots for the price. They are far better than the military boots I was issued while serving. UPDATE: At walking 2-4 miles a day, I put approximately 800 miles on the black pair before they began breaking down. The Nike boots I bought broke down after half that period of wear. I have no problem replacing $60 boots after 800 miles. The boot itself did not tear or show signs of wear and tear, but my pronating ankles pushed the insides of the soles out after that period, eliminating the support needed for multi-mile walks. The zippers still work perfectly and the boots still look great and are fine for casual wear. This is a very solid product. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Good quality
Size: 11 Wide Color: Sand-8 Inches
Good quality for the price. I love zipper sides, to be honest I put gel soles in all my boots and works well and fit excellent and very comfortable. Love the color and ordered and pair in black.

  • Not sure how long…
Size: 9.5 Wide Color: Sand-8 Inches
I rate this 4++. Couldn’t do 4.5 on Amazon rating scale of 1-5 stars. Not sure how long these are going to last but, for the price I would buy two. They feel really good right out of the box. After a couple of days I do not have any hot spots. I wear good hiking socks (alpaca) and that is important with any boot. Light weight and easy to get on with the zipper. Totally worth the money even if they don’t make a season of hiking! For the price I would buy one at the start of every season if they don’t hold up. I hike mostly in the high desert on sand and granite rock. I am sure limestone would kill the sole quickly. Will get back after the season with update on durability. ... show more

  • Good boot
Size: 9.5 Color: Black-8 Inches
Been wearing these for about three weeks and I’m happy with the purchase. Good quality and comfortable. Seem to shine up really well and the price is great. Be advised these do run big and wide. I wouldn’t hesitate pulling the trigger on these boots.

  • Perfect!
Size: 6.5 Color: Black-8 Inches
These boots are great! They are comfortable, even though they have steel toes. I have them laced to fit my ankles well, so I can carry dried alfalfa and grass to feed the horses, and loose ones don't get down into my socks to poke me, while fitting well over my riding pants. I feel safer cleaning the horses' hoofs and being around them with the steel toes. The traction is just enough that in wet and even icy conditions, I have had secure footing in and around the horse pens in the arena. And with the ankles zipping up as snuggly as they do, I can wear them under boot cut jeans, as well. I haven't ridden with them yet, as I prefer my riding boots, but it seems these would fit easily into the western saddle stirrups. ... show more

  • Definitely looks good, but, not as promised or as good as advertised..........
Size: 8.5 Color: Black-8 Inches
So, they look like the orginal tactical boot created by Magnum which is the main appeal and very cool looking and on discount so very awesome in that regard, buuuuuuut............absolutely uncomfortable despite being the right size and despite inserting new insoles since the factory standard insoles cause friction somehow no matter how snugly You lace them. Arch support or support in general is practically nonexistent and the outsoles are very heavy yet somehow gives very easily, the laces suck, plus, I did not receive extra laces and even if I had the laces are EXTREMELY abrasive to Your hands and fingers once snugging them up. I have worn all kinds and brands of Tactical and Combat Boots in My prior professions such as Bates, Rothko (the old stuff that ACTUALLY worked) and even 5.11 Tactical, even had some very generic brands I've tried that were much more comfortable, supportive and lightweight and still durable than these, no wonder Nortiv 8 sold these on discount THEY ARE NOT WHAT I PAYED FOR. Bad thing being I bought these as a cool assumed comfortable and functional boot for My birthday yesterday, they arrived two days prior to that, after wearing and trying them out on various terrain and even hiking I am immensely disappointed. My feet are very healthy and I am an very outgoing Hiker and Outdoorsman when not on-site and this was a terrible letdown, bad thing is, I'm stuck with them as it would cost me to return them even if it's SUPPOSED to be "free" returns (been there before, no thanks to the Idiots and non-helpful Individuals working alleged "Customer Service") so I guess I'll simply wear them for yardwork, don't recommend, I highly doubt that Nortiv 8 even cares or would respond to this despite seeing several reviews indicating Their solid Customer Service, never once ever had a good experience or been able to return anything thanks to Amazon fouling anything up. In short, looks great, initially feels great but is not what I payed for, wanted or needed. ... show more
