This is literally the only boot I buy for work. I have gone through probably 5+ pairs of basic version as well as waterproof version. I am a solar technician and spend majority of my time of roofs. I came to the conclusion that military style boots support my ancles the best & allow me to move around the way I need to while not damaging shingles. Every year I buy a regular pair of these Nortivs for summer, & then I would recommend using the waterproof version as a winter boot. I used to get Belleville boots, but they would wear out and start to reek and I was spending over $130 on boots. What I love about THESE is I can get a brand new pair of summer and winter boots for around $40 each. The quality for price is great. For me what wears out is the bottom of the sole after about a year or so, however typically I am on roofs with 45 degree pitches, etc and I am extremely hard on them. So these boots will probably not last you 10 years, but you can get another pair for very cheap. That may not work for others but it works for me. I highly recommend these.

Bought Men's waterproof boots for a Spring mountain field research trip. They were lightweight but sturdy, no foot fatigue after 9-10 hour days. The fit was true to size, no pressure points, and equally important--they surprisingly remained dry inside! Experienced rain, wet grasses, mud, and even Spring snow, with dry feet. Extremely impressed and will purchase another pair to have for the future.

These look to be well made. I normally wear an 8.5 size shoe so that's what I ordered. They fit ok, but it would not have hurt anything to go to a size 9. They are a little snug, but not enough to return them. They might be better once they get broken in. I have seen better grip patterns than these have, but they will probably be in Most terrains. I plan on using these on my outdoor adventures. If they had more aggressive tread I would have given 5 stars instead of 4.

Edit: customer service gave me option of money back or a new pair of whatever shoes they carry. I opted for a different style and is working out so far. Had high hopes. My first pair was a half size too big but still great pair. My second pair and most recent purchase (2 weeks ago) already is failing me. Was hoping to have a great pair like my first ones. Oh and water does get in the second pair..never had that issue with my first pair.

Comfy shoe, has great grip and fits good. My order came in defective with one of the hook on the boot broken off and a weird marking of 23 on the tongue. Other than that they will work for my MSF course.
